2. Shame I work, was planning to go last three years.
3. Schpock.....I picked up lovely guitars on Schpock
4.
That's what I'm looking for too.
Chord does them
5. Had to look it up. Looks nice. Good luck with sale. I am after another MF as mine is my primary bass but currently no budget for basses.
6. Not bad.Couldn't find a p bass with a maple neck. Chord does cheap basses too.
7. Just like some other basses popping up....
8.
Here's my band - The Peoples Republic of Mercia - rocking out in an Old School, Dr Feelgood, edgy R&B sort of fashion. The video is a wee bit cheese-tastic, but what ya gonna do, eh? It's from our new little 5 track CD EP thing, called DIY - have a look at the website if you fancy it - www.promercia.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhSSnnzM93o
I played this on my phone and my one year old started dancing and smiling.Good video
9. I own two squier; a jazz c vibe and Matt Freeman p bass. Both brilliant.
10. I own both p and jazz basses but play p basses mostly.
11. I mounted the speakers in 80s. Little one already has her own toy TV remote. But she loves the amp knobs and the speakers on the floor a perfect mix for a disaster.
12. As the topic title. Getting rid off speakers for safety aspects and need a soundbar.
13. Many many years ago I had to learn several songs in a short time notice such as Queens, Rainbow, Alice Cooper, Extreme, Bon Jovi and some others. The rehearsals went well and when we had our first booking the singer left. That was the last time I gigged in 1998. Now I found the very end part of Two Minutes to Midnight by IM challenging.
14. I have always owned bass combos but remember my 115 Peavey BW was enough to play in a small to medium sized hall some 25 years ago. If I was to gig again I'd love something beefy like 2 410 stack with a tube amp on top.Just in case...
15. This bass would satisfy my gas!
16. I am not a big pedal fan. For my electric guitar I use a tube screamer into cry baby wah. Bass is mostly nil pedals but planning to start using them. I've got a di hartke pedal and TC electronic spectracomp and I would plug bass into di then spectracomp then amp. This is what I see a logical order. Correct me if I'm wrong. If I was to add cry baby wah what would be a good order...or is there such thing as good order...horses for courses..
17. Steve Harris white Olympic P bass And a Yamaha attitude
18. I thought this thread would turn out to be about Miller and Wooten. Nice to see a variety of taste. Surprised no one mentioned Matt Freeman who I think it's unbelievable for what he does and Cliff Burton?
19. Obviously mine is Steve Harris. First I heard Iron Maiden was around 1982-1983. It was bass lines such as Killers, Wratchild and The Number of the Beast that made me always wanting to play bass. Live After Death really blew my mind away.
20. https://youtu.be/VC3bTNoL2Z4 What's your opinion?
21. Would make a nice project. Got spare high mass Fender bridge and spb 1 for it.
22.
Is that popcorn out of a heat-sealed plastic bag or a cardboard poke?
Straight from the popcorn machine!
23. I use it myself. I design my own drums beat. Select which ever kick drum, snare , hi hat etc I like then I visualise the drums beat I have in my head, adjust the tempo timing etc and done. Add reverb to individual drum bits and done.
24.
No doubt. I think I could pick the glass bottle one, and the 500ml plastic one apart. The can and the glass bottle are a lot closer. For that reason I only buy 500ml plastic when I have no other choice. Yeah, I know... I find people who think it's preposterous, but also many others who feel the same way about there being a difference, although we may prefer different things: some really prefer the plastic bottle. You can also tell differences between different countries' formulas. The Spanish one seems to lack flavour compared to the British which seems sweeter and more flavourful (perhaps it's just sweeter and that gives the impression of more flavour), the US one seems to have some more almost 'cinnamomy' aroma... I thought it was just my memory playing tricks, but I got to travel enough to believe in the differences, and then I found there's a Coke museum in Atlanta I believe where you can taste different formulations from all over the world... so it must be real. I haven't been there yet. As for the container... I really don't know what it is. I noticed it many years ago, and it's not that it changes entirely the flavour, but there is 'something'. When given a choice I always go for the glass bottle. The 500ml plastic bottle seems to taste a little different. I can't describe it, it's a slightly sweeter flavour but it's not just that. Then I don't really feel that on a 2 litre bottle. Is it the same plastic? Is it because of the larger bottle-surface / liquid ratio in the smaller bottle? I do not know. Is the formula perhaps slightly different for the plastic bottles, perhaps, related to the stability in contact with the plastic? Does exposure to light change something? The glass bottles will stop UV while the plastic won't... I don't have a clue what it is, but there is a difference. But then, I don't really feel a particular flavour in bottled water... is that different plastics? Or I just haven't compared? I mean, different waters taste very different but how much is it the container and how much the actual water differences? I never had a glass/can/plastic side by side comparison with water. Some people even claim diet coke and standard taste the same, or coke zero and standard (which are a lot closer)... those will not clearly not distinguish the differences I'm talking about. And why does the coke from the tap at a bar taste so completely different (and vile)? I used to think they just didn't use 'real' coke, until I worked at a bar myself and saw we bought the real thing. Is it really the same stuff used in their bottled stuff, or again are there differences to make it more stable in those particular conditions? Life was a lot simpler when we didn't have choices!
I need to get a bag of popcorn before I read this :-)
