3.
Yes, but a lot of what was once thought of as metal is now seen as hard rock. Kind of irrelevant though as all heavy metal is still a kind of rock.
Up the Irons!
4.
Technically heavy metal is sub genre of rock so it fits. In any case Maiden is heavy rock compared to what gets touted as metal now. +1 for Maiden though, must be the most overlooked yet most successful, influential and popular British band of all time.
To be even more precise. Maiden was seen as a new wave of British heavy metal.
5.
Goes without saying IRON MAIDEN!!!
+1 Although Maiden is technically heavy metal
6.
Well in that case I reckon you need to start, lol
Dear oh dear
7. I don't mind the fella and i don't do drugs either. I think this dream is to do with my desire to play music on stage. But Simon Cowell...wtf
8. Well, I've had this bizzare dream about entering The X Factor. There was a line to leave a voice mail singing a song for a sift stage process. Next thing I know, Simon is at my parents house visiting me whilst I was still a teenager. I told him that I can't sing but can play Iron Maiden songs on the bass. I then showed him my Sparkling blue bass and asked him if he knows Steve Harris andvif they text to each other. The dream was set in approxx. 1989 so don't think the mobile technology was quite there. Anyway, he then decided to leave because I didn't sing. I asked him if he would give me a lift to college but he shook his head and left. I then asked my dad if he did. My dad was drinking a beer out a bottle and this was at 07:35. Very bizzare. So I've been up since 5:20 now downstairs enjoying a cupppa.
9. Last time I gigged was I think in 1992.
10.
Imagine it is 2 months ago and buy it anyway! haha
Don't you start on me!😉
11. I'm with you. Can't you ask the seller?
12.
I just picked up a Fender Rumble 100 watt combo from the forum. Light as a feather, sounds great at low volume and will go plenty loud as well. Mine was £200 with a quality cover. Used it the other night at an acoustic jam and it was bang on. Try one - I don't think you'd regret it.
+1
13. Download Toneprint app select bass then select product i.e. tc spectracomp. Then choose an artist by clicking on it and put your android phone or pad etc near the pick up and done. You can then re set to factory settings or choose another artist from the app.
14. I own Fender Steve Harris. Pretty heavy.Never weighed it but who cares, I'm physically strong. It not only looks big but sounds big.
15.
Not sure you can get the exact sound of a P bass, but you can get close (imo). Roll off the rear pickup volume all the way, front pickup on full and pluck over the front pickup. Take the tone off about 3/4 of the way. It will still "bark" like a Jazz, but only slightly.
Old post but this seems to work.
16. I create drums using Ableton live. It's time consuming. I downloaded the free version of I think EZ drummer Has some basic loops.
17. Very inspirational documentary. Sort of reminded me my youth...
18.
I doubt it's an air fed mask though, the standard filter type are no good for two pack. It needs to be a full face positive feed type, theybarent cheap but are completely essential. I understand it can also be absorbed through the skin so needs full coverage. To be honest it's best just to avoid it, there are good alternatives that are far safer.
What alternatives woukd you suggest?
19. Thanks. I've used up a fair few of cans but invested in a mask. It's brilliant , can't smell a thing when painting.
20. Hi chatrers, Does anyone own a spray gun and a compressor or has exprerience using one and recommended one. I've been can spray painting a guitar project and it costs an arm and a leg. Surely a quality spray gun is more expensive but in long term it pays off. I've got a few projects lined up.
21. Watching now.1st minute already enjoying it.
22. There are some good videos where the player demonstrates the gear playing various techniques but slapping?
23.
Depends on the injury. How far would YOU go if because of someone else your wrist was broken and you couldn't work for 2 months? Could you still pay your rent or mortgage if you only got Stat Sick pay for 2 months? PLI is dirt cheap because the risk is low. Or join the MU - then if a landlord refuses to pay you, they'll get the money out of them. You get the use of their lawyers included in the membership fee.
I get what you're saying. Everytime i see i pub band, it's the drunkest of the crowd in the bands face dancing and junping with a pint glass in their hands. This alone is a health and safety hazard alone to band members. The list is not exhaustive. Surely it's up to the insurer to investigate the genuity and liability of the claim.
