1. Malcolm Young! What a legend. Simple but yet so powerful guitar riffs. He will be missed!
2. Never came out of box..Okay! But you confirm it's in immaculate condition and plays well? From a smoke and pet free environment...but it's been gigged (before smoking ban) For sale is my Fender p bass....it's actually Squier. ....nothing wrong with Squiers, I own 4, but it's the principle. Fast neck..not your hand then Has a couple of dings..not to mention those not in photo Comes with a strap...one that digs into your traps
3. Practice galloping fingers whenever you can. For example tapping your fingers on a table etc It comes natural to me. When I was a kid used mimick horse galloping sound with my fingers by tapping them on whatever suitable surface, before I heard of Maiden. Years later, I started playing bass and The Trooper was second nature to me at age of 16. I would struggle with slapping though.
4. Thanks for prompt reply. I'll wait few days. Cheers.

Guitar rebuild

The guitar has had few colours since August, but I was not happy with the job. The lack of experience with spraying guitars cost me money and time but now I have decided on the colour scheme so the paint is left to cure before I apply another colour to match the pattern and hopefully I'll be ready to instal hardware , electronics from a basschat member before the Christmas.

10.
Yes, but a lot of what was once thought of as metal is now seen as hard rock. Kind of irrelevant though as all heavy metal is still a kind of rock.
Up the Irons!
11.
Technically heavy metal is sub genre of rock so it fits. In any case Maiden is heavy rock compared to what gets touted as metal now. +1 for Maiden though, must be the most overlooked yet most successful, influential and popular British band of all time.
To be even more precise. Maiden was seen as a new wave of British heavy metal.
12.
Goes without saying IRON MAIDEN!!!
+1 Although Maiden is technically heavy metal
13.
Well in that case I reckon you need to start, lol
Dear oh dear
14. I don't mind the fella and i don't do drugs either. I think this dream is to do with my desire to play music on stage. But Simon Cowell...wtf
15. Well, I've had this bizzare dream about entering The X Factor. There was a line to leave a voice mail singing a song for a sift stage process. Next thing I know, Simon is at my parents house visiting me whilst I was still a teenager. I told him that I can't sing but can play Iron Maiden songs on the bass. I then showed him my Sparkling blue bass and asked him if he knows Steve Harris andvif they text to each other. The dream was set in approxx. 1989 so don't think the mobile technology was quite there. Anyway, he then decided to leave because I didn't sing. I asked him if he would give me a lift to college but he shook his head and left. I then asked my dad if he did. My dad was drinking a beer out a bottle and this was at 07:35. Very bizzare. So I've been up since 5:20 now downstairs enjoying a cupppa.
16. Last time I gigged was I think in 1992.
17.
Imagine it is 2 months ago and buy it anyway! haha
Don't you start on me!😉
18. I'm with you. Can't you ask the seller?
19.
I just picked up a Fender Rumble 100 watt combo from the forum. Light as a feather, sounds great at low volume and will go plenty loud as well. Mine was £200 with a quality cover. Used it the other night at an acoustic jam and it was bang on. Try one - I don't think you'd regret it.
+1
20. Download Toneprint app select bass then select product i.e. tc spectracomp. Then choose an artist by clicking on it and put your android phone or pad etc near the pick up and done. You can then re set to factory settings or choose another artist from the app.
21. I own Fender Steve Harris. Pretty heavy.Never weighed it but who cares, I'm physically strong. It not only looks big but sounds big.
22.
Not sure you can get the exact sound of a P bass, but you can get close (imo). Roll off the rear pickup volume all the way, front pickup on full and pluck over the front pickup. Take the tone off about 3/4 of the way. It will still "bark" like a Jazz, but only slightly.
Old post but this seems to work.
23. I create drums using Ableton live. It's time consuming. I downloaded the free version of I think EZ drummer Has some basic loops.
