  1. Voted, this was a tough decision. Can we do top 11?
  2. I feel you. When Steve Harris royal blue Fender p bass was still available in stores , I hesitated. When I finally decided to get one, they discontinued. I phoned around many, many retailers across UK, Europe. Nothing. Then sometimes later I found one in the good old Basschat. I'm sure one will pop up here.
  3. Best slap ever Please close thread
  4. I'd add some overdrive effect to it to help cut through the mix?
  5. My Generation- oasis Always on My mind- pet shop boys Roll over Beethoven- the beatles
  6. Several years back I ordered an olympic white Squier p bass with black pickguard, they sent me a black one instead. This was a different retailer, big name as well.
  7. Happy Birthday to Steve Harris, 65 and still rocking!

  8. Yep, and by listening to Satriani sound, Darren Dimbag sound , not a big deal. They do the similar thing with T Racks 5 plugins, you buy the bundle but find some parts only work in demo mode.
  9. This, I raised this , mainly the price, but IK does not give direct answer.
  10. I'm worried about copying, whether it would sound the same, or work at all!
  11. I queried IK Multimedia why the upgrade cost for Amp.5 for existing Amplitube 4 customers isn't lower etc. Also there seem to be issues with migration of presets as mentioned above. IK Multimedia reps were going round circles....I don't think 5 will make my performance any better. I mean, Tri amping? Bit excessive, one amp is hard work. If it ain't broke why fix it. I'm not losing the presets , years of work of iconic guitar sounds I managed to tweak in.
  12. I appreciate there are lots Cliff Burton fans out there, but Jason Newsted is 'the' dogs bollox.
  13. Jason Newsted on the bench , if Lars was the coach
  14. And...voted, good work. I must say, that third time in a row I started working on my entries but never get time to finish.
  15. Yep, I would examine every photo on double LP when I was a kid thinking one day I'll be like them. I keep coming back to bthis album all the time, never get bored of it, even the Hammersmith recording sounds just pure raw Maiden. That last chord hit in 22 Acacia Avenue. Ta na na na na
  16. +1, still have the tapes, the second copy. Also used to listen to it on LP and still listen to the CD.
  17. This is just daft...I'll get my coat
  18. Caught Nicko's drum stick in 2013, always hoped for Steve's wrist sweatband.
  19. Sometimes the guitar / bass riffs don't match the drums which can have higher BPM and vice versa.
  20. I Googled Run to the Hills tempo which is 173
  21. I think it looks unique without the pickguard
  22. Living on a Prayer....lights out, nighty nite
  23. This, played it on stage at age of 6. Main has been bass, but it's more guitar which has improved over past years. (Not gigging standard, mainly rythm, but can layer a decent solo plying sections the glue together in DAW). As @AndyTravis mentioned keyboard, it' s more or less to operate Vst instruments and synth, some piano (very simple stuff). Used to play drums quite well 30 years ago. A bit of Jews harp (used it in the BC composition last year or so). Do microphone and comb kazoo count? how about air bass, air drum or air guitar?
  24. What the Hellman?
