  1. £1.69 for 60!!! All you need is to book a coach..bargain!
  2. I needed a microphone for a kick drum and Pete responded promptly. Within days we made a deal, he posted pictures of the item and swiftly posted it supplying tracking number. The item arrived within a day and was well packaged. Thanks Pete and nice to do business with you.
  3. I meant Jaco Pastrious,🤣 , wasn't he arrested for his drinking led behaviour?
  4. He used his savings to be bailed out
  5. I read Steve Harris uses fresh set every gig. I wonder what they do with the strings after one gig. Probably bin them.
  6. Thank you for a thorough response as always. I have done all the tuning , dampening etc. The bass drums sounds great on its own but again I play with ear defenders as I would not want to go deaf. Miced up it's ok ish after I eq compress etc. But not quite what I'm after. I'll work it out. Maybe I should put the reso heads back but Toms and floor Toms sound so much better and kick drum too. it'll come .thank you sir.
  7. The sup. drums 3 you produced sound realistic, very natural to me. I have now been toying around with acoustic drums recording , but can`t get the kick/bass drum right..maybe a mic for kick drum would improve the recording quality. (all reso heads off, my preferred choice).
  8. Voted, song writing is getting better and better. Question for @Dad3353.. did you record your own drums?
  9. Yep , I still have the VHS
  10. I would say music inspired not changed. It was the bass guitar sound and the sparkly royal blue fender p bass played on the Live After Death that inspired me to start playing bass. 30 or so years later I managed to owe one, thanks to a BC member. But it also inspired me to learn English which led to changes in my life.
  11. Elvis Presley uh hu huh Michael Jackson hee hee Freddie Mercury Ee o
  12. The Rime of the Ancient Marineeeer....
  13. Live After Death Close the thread
  14. Two years ago I stored guitars and basses in a rented storage facility for 6 months. The temperature is constant, secure CCTV etc. Cost a bit but a smaller room may he cheaper.
  15. Live After Death
  16. Well he may have changed a few things
  17. The album was apparently locked in the vault
  18. Ok so he made a joke...like he does
  19. The whole album was recorded 2 years ago in Paris ....I don't get the Nicko part
  20. Bruce's first solo album was also a bit folky. Was that Writing on the Wall you're referring to?
  21. The answer is no IMHO. But I grew up on the old 80s style.
  22. I know what you mean.....but now listening to it on a set of speakers rather than on my portable DAB radio it's not that bad. Listening to it again. Some great songs and mixture of styles from various Maiden albums. One song in particular, had about 4 different Maiden album riffs/sound spanning over 20 years in. I will post which one later. The acoustic bass sound is just killer. I even hear guitar tone from Seventh Son album. The overall sound and production is one of the best Maiden material. The drums and cymbals in particular sound is amazing. The acoustic guitars is very subtle. I don't know if it's my headphones or speakers or meant to be sitting in the certain song parts/mix, but the bass in some parts jumps out at you and the keys sound a bit too high pitched every now and again. Could be my ears.
  23. So Bruce sang in Samsons before Maiden opened for UFO. Steve had visions
  24. Unfortunately at work but listened to planet rock at 6 with Bruce. Can't wait to go home and listen to the album with headphones on.
  25. Waiting for the Senjutsu CD to arrive, hopefully before I'm off to work.
