  1. Today , I cut a 4 inch port hole in bass reso head. A new tin of paint was a perfect size with a heavy vice on top of it. I followed it around with a sharp Stanley knife and the cut was perfect. Time to experiment with recording...
  2. I thought it sounded rather simple. 😁
  3. Spot the difference...
  4. Very poor impression or attempt of crazy drummer. Has been done....next...
  5. I have the same difficulties, join a band. There was one before the lock down, but the guitarist/founder was over aspirational. He arranged a rehearsal then pulled out the joining his old band. So... fast forward two years...nothing
  6. I presume for Maiden? Seventh son.....tour
  7. Voted , good job everyone again! 👍
  8. I thought the first was the original then I noticed the text between. First one is definitely better sounding with more clarity. Although to my ears it sounds in a mid range frequency.
  9. I use camera mic then sync it with the mix as my camera is now 15 year old. I'd keep it simple.
  10. I've picked up a 90's Korean build Epiphone Gold top for a good price. I cannot fault it. The quality and playability is superb.
  11. I agree with you and maybe that's the same reason I couldn't play in a band because I'm a human being not a metronome. Next time I enter composition challenge on BC I'll post the bass track separately to get less brownie points. In my teens and early 20s all I needed was long hair, loud amp, cool bass and being able to play galloping finger style and I was in. Unless a pub punter is one of us, general public goes to watch live band to have fun. I went to see Testament 3 years ago or so, the bass wasn't very impressive, he had technical issues and made it so obvious. Did anyone else noticed, maybe...but maybe 99% of the audience was head banging and moshing.
  12. Maybe they didn't record with click tracks in those days?
  13. I love isolated bass tracks. After all it's a bass line and in most cases it proves it doesn't need to be complicated or have copious amount of pedals used. Surely there are lots of amateiur players around who would not be happy recording these "sloppy" tracks, but what's the point if the final product matters.
  14. If I do , it's TC spectracomp.
  15. Nothing else matters Metallica
  16. I've got a condenser mic C1 and a pair of C2. I've used C1 for guitar amp, vocals and now for kick drum. I've used a pair of C2 for recording an acoustic, crystal clear result! Now they are also used as overheads in ORTF configuration. They pick up the slightest sound. Cheap? I'd say good value for money.
  17. I've heard it now 3 times but it's not something that blew me away. There seem to be some guitar riffs that I'm not sure about. It would fit in with any latest Maiden album. Will have to give it few goes or perhaps listen to the whole album in 3rd of September 😉
  18. Yep, been a fan since 80s but somewhat never had opportunity to see them, can't wait . The line up seems to have all members minus Dan Spitz.
  19. I bought a ticket through Planet Rock. viagogo sells them at 2.36 times the price!!!!!
  20. Never Surrender by Saxon on planet rock.
  21. Another song from new Maiden album on planet rock played tonight after 6 pm.......
  22. Already bought one at Christmas and it's comfortable without trying it before buying. Thanks anyway
  23. I remember turning up outside a stadium in 1991 and buying a ticket for Monsters of Rock. Queensryche, Motley Crue, Metallica ( black album) and AC/DC ( Razors Edge). Bought seated ticket but for Metallica and ACDC we ended up in front of the stage. Good old times! No annoying mobile phones to restrict your view.
  24. Further to my previous post. Most agree than Di' Anno suited the first two Maiden albums, it's how we know Maiden and if there was a different singer back then we would have different opinions because we wouldn't know different. Di' Annno was not professional when he " challenged" the fan , he should've ignored it. There are other you tube videos out there where he however shows respect to Bruce. Fame doesn't last forever. After No prayer for dying I kept reverting to older albums. I gave X Factor and virtual XI a chance to listen as there is some good material. 2000 onwards, some great songs. Still go and see them live though. New album? To be honest, it won't be better than 80' s material.
