  1. Was that gig in Liverpool?
  2. I already have more books than I could possibly read in my lifetime. So what do I do? Yup, buy more books. TBF this isn't much of a problem as I tend to buy ebooks. But in terms of FX pedals, I have multi FX , and synth pedals I still haven't got round to learn how to use. So what am I doing? Yup, looking at the BC for sale forum because there's a pedal now on sale that I really wanted when I was younger. I have no practical application for it's use, it won't suit any of my bands. But...
  3. You can report a bank account you believe is being used for criminal activities. Contact Action Fraud. You can also report it to the bank, it's a Bank of Scotland account, and they are part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
  4. Try the Electoral Roll. Do a search of Edinburgh Council.
  5. I was wondering the same thing! 🀣
  6. The cd's are from the studio I used. Normal cd's work fine, but I'm still getting the 'Files Ready to be Written to the Disc' option under the audio tracks.
  7. According to AI: Here are six band name suggestions that reflect your funky, jazzy blues style: Funky Blues Collective Groove Junction The Jazzy Vibes Soulful Strum Rhythm & Blues Revival Bassline Serenade These names capture the essence of your music and the collaborative spirit of your group.
  8. Hi all I've happened across a bunch of CD-R's and CD-RW's which have stems from recordings I did about 20 years ago. With each disc I'm getting the the following. What must I do?
  9. Wednesday. People have been away so this was the first rehearsal in about 5 weeks. We were all worried about being a bit rusty, but as we went along confidence came back and it was bl00dy good fun! 😁
  10. Find out what works for you to aid memory, and use your preferred learning style. Visual Learners: Use sheet music, diagrams, or colour-coded notes. Visual aids like charts can help you see patterns and structures in the music. Auditory Learners: Listen to recordings of the song repeatedly. Try singing or humming your part to reinforce your memory through sound. Kinesthetic Learners: Engage in physical practice. Play along with the song or use hand movements to associate actions with notes. Break the song down, divide it into smaller sections. Focus on mastering one section at a time before moving on to the next. And regularly practice each section. Repetition strengthens neural pathways, making it easier to recall the music later.
  11. How much do they get paid?
  12. Alice Cooper?
  13. Freddie is a monster player and has the talent and ability to shred. Obviously you won't hear that on a Whitney Houston song (etc) because for him that's not where the money is, but it doesn't mean he can't.
  14. It could have been organised a bit better though... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj08rgp4g8ro
  15. And I'll just leave this here...
  16. Everyone back to Nancy Johnson's for the after-bash party! πŸ˜ƒ 😜
  17. Scooby Dobie Doo?
  18. I saw them at Hyde Park 2007. Tbh was underwhelmed. They were a bit static, didn't really get the great showman bit from Tyler. His voice was ok though.

  20. I've been listening to their podcasts. Good stuff 😎
  21. What I actually needed in a bass. Plus a zebra skin finish! πŸ˜†
  22. I came to bass from classical guitar, so still use floating thumb, and also occasionally pluck with my thumb, but the first time I played a bass with a ramp it just felt right 😊
  23. Ok. Shuker No1 was everything I wanted in a bass. Mid-scale, Thumbchum (combined ramp, pup cover, and thumb rest), bendwell; extended fret board, monkey grip, scalloped frets at the dusty end, pink LEDs that flash and pulse, and the highest outputting pup possible. But it is also couture, as the body has been resized for me and slightly widened at the bottom to fit how I hold and play the bass, and a slim fast neck. The low action and ramp mean some people find playing difficult, but for me it is glorious. It plays and sounds wonderful.
  24. Do I just post pics of my custom Shukers? πŸ˜†
