  1. A half decent nylon string guitar will do. Ta!
  2. In particular Glen. If you've ever heard any of the 'Spunk' recordings, the bass lines are far more interesting than the chugga-chugga parts Steve played on NMTB.
  3. Hi All. Big favour to ask, I need a nylon string guitar for some studio work. This will be 12 & 13 June in that London. Please let me know if you have one that I can rent or borrow. Obviously I would look after it as if it was my own. My feedback thread may attest to my trustworthyness, and I'm personally known to several mods on here, so I'm not gonna do a runner! Ta!
  4. The swelling and itchiness have gone, but I still have a red spot over the bite mark.
  5. Well spotted!
  6. No this is incorrect . The modern narrative is to change the past, so that it adheres to today's standards. So for example, books which are edited and have content changed or removed (Flemming; Dahl; Blyton etc).
  7. Rehearsal last night with the covers band. We have a full line up now, but the singer wasn't there as he has the lurgy, so we ran through stuff with the new guitarist. I got bitten by a mozzy! 😡
  8. Last night, full band: Vocalist, bass, drums, guitar, & 3 backing vocalists. Sounded great and we all played well. The bass sounded amazing! I was using the rehearsal room combo. I put it on mute, turned the volume down and plugged in, turned the volume up ready to have a fiddle with the EQ, but it already sounded awesome so I left it alone. Pic of combo and settings ⬇️
  9. Barry Manilow next week 😁
  10. Yes, damn that universal, equal, and free healthcare, and being able to walk safely day and night without fear of a crime being committed!
  11. Many years ago @Happy Jack posted a video of warm up exercises which may help? I've done the search for the vid but couldn't find it 😞
  12. Not fixed. Language is organic, and usage is the final arbiter.
  13. Pish! I'm on albums that far less people have listened to!
  14. Join me, in using these:
  15. I remember Rocky (briefly) singing for Discharge.
  16. Where? 🤔 I can't see any Punk bands mentioned in your post 😕 😜
  17. Happy World Goth Day? 😆 Old New
  18. @BigRedX I've done yours for you 😉
  19. Interesting, but it seems to be about the Nashville and/or country scene?
  20. Tom Bailey from The Thompson Twins at O2 Indigo. Nick Beggs was on bass. He joined mid tour and it was only his second gig with the band. Which probably explains why he hasn't quite nailed Matthew Seligman's bass line to In the Name of Love.
  21. There's much scaremongering about AI at the moment. AI is actually a misnomer as there's no intelligence involved. It's computer programs giving responses on the basis of probabilities. AI at the moment is not creative, as it can not surpass it's data set and do anything original. For example if you programmed the relevant AI with The Beatles Red Album, it would not be able to come up with anything from The Blue Album.
