Headphones take some running in before they open up and approach their best! I’d advise to play some test tones/ sine waves and random playlists through them for a few days and then try again.

We’ve got three albums to listen to that you can find on bandcamp, Spotify etc. It’s all instrumental, self produced, different themes, very prog and a bit pretentious 🤣 I really like From sea to sky and the 3rd one we put out on a label. “Phantasia on the high processions of the sun, moon and countless stars above”. All a bit silly. I miss the band a lot.

I think the quality is fine. They don’t make these anymore do they? Out of interest, how many cabs are you running? What’s the need for this over an abm 600? If I remember rightly the 900 has two of the power stages from the 600, meaning you can run 4 x 8 ohms cabs. If you don’t need to, save yourself the weight of this and get a 600.

I always liked the amps but the cabs weren’t the best to my ears. Surprisingly quiet for the footprint. I hope it’s to your taste.

A maple top should be a feature that enhances the appearance of the instrument as well as brightening up the sound a little. In this case it detracts from the appearance and makes it look worse. I’d also try to return it. Under the distance selling act you have the right to a no quibble return. They’re talking bs.

Honestly the bang for buck in the £200-£400 range is unreal these days. You can get a genuinely decent instrument with no major or minor flaws for not much. It makes that stretch to spend more ever harder to justify. I don’t think I’m ever going to buy a mexi or us fender again. I can’t justify it.

I’ve got the 200 watt, 1x15 and it’s very loud for the size and weight of it.

Congrats. I have a cheaper BB and I’d love to level up to one of these some day. I don’t think this model ever had emgs as standard, must have been modded by the previous owner. Got any pics?

Same. I’m enjoying it. My wife played a gig with her in London a few years back and Melissa was lovely! I liked Mani’s views on slapping, although I don’t quite know why that’s crept into this episode.

How do they compare with the TI’s? I’ve got them on two basses and love them. I see lots of positive comments on la Bella strings but have yet to play any. Flats are tough to experiment with due to the cost.

I’ve consulted a pictorial guide from an old guitar magazine I cut out when I was 15 or something, but it’s no help in this instance. Any here you can take inspiration from? Or are these too rudimentary (classic rock poses for beginners)?
