1. I have received some enquiries about the weight of this bass- doesn't feel heavy to me, lighter than my jap jazz, will supply an exact weight this evening .
2. What do you have ? I MIGHT trade under the right circumstances
3. Thanks dude - if only you wanted to buy it Slow market - that's for sure
4. Can you say where you are.? Those of us reading on handhelds usually cannot see profiles
5. Very pretty - but has thin evil little strings. Have a bump on me
6. Bump for reduced price
7. You don't mention anything about condition or damage (aside from to the hard case)?
8. And replied. All please feel free to ask any questions, or for additional pics of parts that are unclear in the photos. iPhone indoors by artificial light isn't the best for detailed rendition
9. Thanks dude. It does do you good to realise where your weaknesses are and even a few lessons should do that. I recommend learning to do your major scales via the circle of fifths - helps with recognising key signatures too. I run round the scales in order in my head if I can't sleep You can easily work out a formula for getting to the next scale - start with C, sharp the fourth then take the fifth note as the start of the new scale , then just keep going till you hit c#. There's a formula for doing the anti clockwise flat keys also
10. I've had a few lessons and although I can't commit to going regularly, it made me realise just how much I didnt know and how many corners I'd cut. theres a certain value in that. He also praised some things that I'd taught myself so it was quite an affirmatory experience.
11. thanks - its good but not as good as I thought it would be - its not three times better than a Mex, and its not half as good again as a CIJ. I've listed it for sale if anyone would like a shot. 12. FS this beautiful 2011 US black precision. NO marks, scratches, buckle rash or dings. Has some scratchplate film still visible under knobs and jack socket. Comes with black ABS fender case with four catches - one can be locked. Has truss rod tool plus two allen keys, key and brown fender strap. Located near j28 of M1 (nottingham and mansfield) but can travel to meet or arrange collection - will reluctantly ship at cost. Please PM if you have any questions,It really is a minter. I need the space so I'll let this go for a firm £700 cash, preference given to those who can collect and preferably soon. Don't really want to trade (thanks for the offers up to now though) as I need to release the funds - will consider sensible (preferably collected or meet) offers
13. Ok I took the plunge and did my usual "last 3 seconds" steal on eBay Scored a black 2011 60th anniversary precision Anyone got one ? Well it has a "60th" neck plate anyway
14. Hmm think I m steering towards jap
15. I have a jap 62 jazz and an Indonesian squier p from 2006 which has kind of turned my head to precisions.
16. Your location would be a help for those of us using handhelds
17. Recently there has been a spate of us made precisions on fleabay - none has gone for a fortune compared to what they cost newAll had the ABS hard case, one had case candy as a bonus. Can anyone advise a fair price (ballpark) for a recent ish one and if there are any years to avoid ? If I'm spending serious money (for me, anyway) I don't want to buy from a known duff period. Or should I just stick to Japan fender and Indonesian squier ? Thanks
18. Ok - ready when you are, mr gs1000 ?
19. Yes please
20. i noticed it too, but t the back is pretty battered and the plate is A/M and it has no pups, no knobs or wiring, Its basically just a body and neck, albeit a nice neck probably and thats assuming it isnt twisted. I think £205 (its current price) is about right for the risk and additnans needed. Its certainly not a "real" JV any more, IMHO.
21. ive seen this listed a few times, I assume its him listing it each time after failure to shift, rather than it being resold
22. I did, - they just said they 'didnt like it'. Anyone care to advise me what it actully does ? I did google it but it wasnt very helpful to be honest.
23. can anyone advise me if the greasebucket circuit is any good ? Is it worth keeping ? I know some folks have junked theirs. What actually does it do ?
