1.
As a previous owner of a Classic 50's and a US Standard fitted with a Fender Original, I don't think you need to change a thing - the classic sounded just as good!
No, youre right - they re quite good enough. The Bass Doc said they sounded quite like the real 62 sound - and he seems to have a 63 so I Guess he'd know.
2. Sadly was unable to try amplified due to small person in bed. Will try and fix that tonight. Just unpacked it and strung it. Very low action. The neck feels surprisingly slim actually
3.
Not only "collection only" the ebay listing finished at a time when a significant majority of people interested in guitars and band music are out, so a very bad time to finish your listing.
Yep - dumb as mud

Neck is tinted, with a darker tint on headstock, satin on neck and gloss on the board. Kluson reverse tuners Bridge has spiral saddles. I'm working on the pickup cover, not sure if I like it but don't hate it yet No-load tone pot for a fully leaded sound on 10 Plate is tort although I'm not sure how close it is to real tort used on a 73 - perhaps someone could advise ?
5. It has landed ... At my house. Sadly I'm not there Pics later on
6. I don't think coverage is a concern for him ...
7. Bass guitar makes people move, I think it's the only criteria that matters .
8. The bass doc tells me he will be shipping early next week.
9. I used to have one exactly like this but for the JJ configuration - it was a very good bass although I personally found the board a little wide
10. It's a check box on the left hand side within the search Also handy within the eBay phone app
11. Worth also setting up your "buyer requirements " so you can exclude people with unpaid item strikes, then you don't need to pre block
12. Thanks - I will adopt it but she's still at it - judging from her recent feedback It really is wrong that buyer feedback isn't affected by unpaid item strikes and so on
13.
You can block any bidder.
You can. But only once you've been stung I wanted to stop other people being stung too.
14. I apologise to anyone I upset, I didn't mean that I do nothing else .. Or that its a hobby/business I just meant that if you are patient, and use the searches someone will list something you want for a low start price that you can win for not much
15. Totally disagree - bargains are entirely findable
16.
I looked at a DVD of guitar playing years ago.The item was bidded up to £18 with a few hours to go. I scrolled down the page and it had the same thing for buy it now at !4.99 from the same seller. I bought it at the buy it now price. I really think some people treat it as a game and get an adrenaline rush when they win
They do, but see my post above
17. Yes - if the seller is silly enough to fail to put a reserve on, or to list it to finish at 3:32am then that's their loss. You can't blame the bidder for winning fairly, or relisting the item more sensibly and making a profit
18. I cannot understand the dumb people who watch a fixed price item until it ends. On another note, I am having trouble with an eBay troll who bids on items, wins them and never pays. Her feedback text is AWFUL but percentage still 100% of course, eBay do nothing despite multiple sellers reporting her User hollygrassby if you would like to avoid her.
