Don't think I'm naturally talented but after lots of dogged listening I can hear the beat and unfailingly hit the one each time, really struggled with that at school. I started with a cheapl Spanish and then e guitar for years then found bass. A precision bass, naturally

We have an understanding that "three is enough" as she has to dust them and as long as they are visibly different and do different things. I have a 12 string acoustic, a vintage stingray copy and a precision - I do buy things to try them but the rule is that something goes if I want to keep the new thing. We have a small house and I have limited free time and this seems reasonable to me

I couldn't do those scrapes like near the strap buttons and expect to get through to the wood like that

one thing I do notice is that my bass has got very thick paint compared to that jazz above.

item arrived quicker than a fast thing attached to a faster thing that had nothing in its way.

Newer is probably better built for mex models in my humble opinion , but I've never played one that was actually bad. I've played lots. You do get some extras with us models like a hard case, graphite rods in neck and rolled board edges but I'm not sure they worth double the price Get a recent one (2002 on perhaps as quality definitely improved around then) and you're unlikely to regret it . I'm selling a blue one as it happens.

You're not alone - musical knowledge is the key to knowing what to do IMHO
