1. Maybe they have long history with their original guy, or he's family in some way ?
 2. Yes as per Pm will ship at cost. I will b in touch when I get back from Edinburgh
 3. I m a fender monkey but even I would think about buying that, especially at that price
 4.
It was in a very crowded motorway services I think I was safe somehow (Russ, if you see this, please take no offence, you are a lovely geezer and I guess Geek was speaking hypothetically )
No it's just so I could make a weak pun about axes...
 5.
It's not just wives.... Husbands can be equally troublesome I found this approach worked well for me just a week ago.... Me "Darling, would you like to come on a roadtrip to the midlands with me tomorrow" Him "Why are you going to the Midlands?" Me "I'm meeting a bloke off Basschat as I'm buying a bass off him" Him "Not another bass!!!" (slightly pissed off tone of voice) Me "Yes, but I'm selling two" Him "Oh, OK then" Me "So do you want to come?" Him "No thanks, got too much to do down the allotment" Should add that I have stuck to what I said, and the two basses I were selling have, in Elvis style, left the building!
Nice ... He let you go off alone to meet a basschat member ? He could have had an axe or something .... Ill get me coat
 6.
I sold a white 4 string epiphone thunderbird and a peavey 5-string to buy a natural epi thunderbird pro-v with some cash left over for bits & bobs. I explained to the missus carefully that I was selling two basses to get one with some of the attributes of the two I was offloading.
my better half is quite happy as I fund this all myself. If I sell one I keep the money and add to it and then buy something else that I want. If I want a new/new to me extra one I do get asked what is different about the new one. As long as there is something different she is happy as long as I don't go over "about three". She trusts me not to buy stuff that loses much money or any money, or that's overpriced Its not a huge issue as long as I act reasonably
 7.
As long as its the dark brown tort I think it works. Red tort looks cheap in my opinion.
.getExactOppositeView().express();
 8.
According to a post I saw on TalkBass, Mexican Fenders are made in Mexico by Mexicans... ...and American Fenders are made in America by Mexicans.
Probably
 9. I used to have thus issue - I just listened closely to lots of music and clapped along, after not much time you get better . You also start to spot clues in the music such as a key change, chord change, verse or chorus start
 10. Every mex I have tried has been at least competent - even the older stuff. Two mex jazzes that I have tried have been really good, a classic 50s P was superb
 11.
I can't deny that rosewood is classic, but maple is lovely with the TV logo. Damn, I want my old bass back SO MUCH....
Yeah baby ..., very nice
 12. Yes it probably is. They are not bad.
 13.
It depends on the maple neck, too. Those shown above are very pale. An aged or vintage tint maple works much better.
I have just such a tinted maple neck on mine.
Isn't it horrible? The tortoise shell scratchplate just doesn't go with the neck at all in my eyes. It's not the contrast of the dark scratchplate with the light colour of the wood, because if the scratchplate was black it would be one of my favourite colour combinations.
Exactly what I have ! Mine looks like this one eBay : 181202092766 It did have reddish tort for a while and I liked the combo, but didnt like the actual tort that was used
 14. Two or three years for my bassdoc built P bass 'twas worth it
 15. Oh - there he is . Yes - I have a question . Ill be in Orlando next Easter time - where can I see a brubaker ?
 16. If we are talking "all the way through" it would have to be the (simple) version of "all along the watch tower" off "Rattle and Hum" I figured it out by ear, along with the small rhythmic variations in an otherwise fairly consistent riff. It made me want a sunburst 70s precision just for the sound alone,.
 17. Their rep is on here - tomrichards
 18.
As a parent I would be more upset that my son kept an instrument in the back of a cupboard and never played it. Sell it for one you will play.
This. But - the replacement has to be a good quality item
 19. My p bass - if is comfortable and seems to do everything
