1. I know Fender used to make a P/J bass, my friend has one. Who makes a P bass with a P neck, P body, P pup and J pup. Nothing fancy.... There is the TF Fretted, but Im interested to see what blend controls are available (if they are!).
2. Ive only been once and it was amazing. I will definitely go again in the near future. I can only wish to play such a good festival.
3. Thats it, the cab on the floor radiating part. Hence why some people dont like casters on 4x10s, but are they wrong, or just using their own ear? Anyway, it doesnt matter. I dont think a 1x15 is a good idea for a 'do it all' standalone cab.
4.
I'm certainly a GG fan after their TecAmp clear out
That WAS good.
5.
I might be wrong, but I am sure that AV 810 has been sitting in the Glasgow shop for a couple of years. I would guess that they just want rid of it.
Probably very rarely sell them.
6. Just noticed the Laklands now seem to be a better price because of the Fender hikes. £1100 for a USA Jazz??!??!?! They were £830 about a year ago.
7. That cab, IMO, is VERY bass heavy! I have heard some call it a bit muddy. Something doesnt seem right though.
8. Wow, what a bass. If I could get close to that amount I would be interested.
9. I used to use the RH450 rear input, but now ill use the RH750 and Streamliner
10. Why do people advise against elevating cabs then? Or is that just in certain scenarios? If we should elevate, why bother buying a squat cab like a 4x10? Hard work to get elevated.
11. Good price. Sometimes they have great prices, but most of the times its hugely inflated. They have SO much stock (more so guitar wise) its unreal and its everything from budget to VERY high end. I do sometimes wonder how they survive in this climate. The same Laklands have been in there for about 3/4 year.
12. Ive put this in Off Topic for some reason. What are you using for the aux in?! Genz told me: The guys at Genz stated it must be: Cable -1/8" TRS on the IPOD side to a 1/4"TRS on the amp side This is what the instructions say: "AUX INPUT A 1/4 unbalanced line level aux. input is provided that sums directly to the main output bus, controlled by the master volume control. This input is ideal for practicing with recorded tracks from a CD player, IPOD, or MP-3 player. This input is a tip-ring-sleeve type jack with built-in summing resistors that sum left and right signals when used with a stereo cable. This input will also work with a mono tip-sleeve plug. Adjust the level of the playback source to balance with the bass guitar's volume."
13. The TC cabs are nice for a vertical and compact stack. Easy to lift, nice tone/tweeter, great price.
14.
Was your 900 what you were expecting? Happy with it?
I am, its a nice build. It is in a totally different realm when it comes to the actual look and design of the chassis cf to the Shuttle series. I prefer the little extra weight, it feels more solid, and the knobs/tube window/brushed aluminium really set the standard. The bottom of it looks identical to the MB LM3 I had (not in size, the material etc) so that IMO is a good thing. It looks less like a toy and more like a real amp. I havent even heard it, but for the price im impressed. I did turn it on without a cab or headphones to see the tube window and I thought the intensity of the LEDS was JUST right. Great amp, these will sell like mad purely on that. Next, how does it sound??? Ill find out more soon.
15. The Fiesta Red is a cool colour anyway, and the necks DO feel nice, no doubt. I think the recent price rises are crazy anyway, but these should ideally be about £700 max.
16. Quite interested in this! Shame I'm nowhere near you.
17. Still awaiting! All will be photographed soon once they are here
18. Nice!!!
19.
Tubetone is distortion and Tweetertone is a treble control. You have to look through the bullshit a little bit.
Agreed, but the Tubetone adds something more than distortion....I dont know how....its pretty cool but yeah its like tube grind basically!
20.
For all the squabbling on bc both of them amp should be ace, I would be happy with either. Your a lucky boy Gareth
I am! Sold two amps, luckily they were mint condition as I am super super crazy about my gear staying nice...so a fair price....then just waited and got a deal whilst I was ordering my Musicmans....so overall I am VERY lucky. I would like to do a comparison video soon.
21. Yep, currently busy sorting a Tesco order so havent had time to sort them. From first impressions of just quickly opening the Streamliner, it looks VERY cool. No doubt the RH will be awesome.
22.
How about >> http://www.basscentre.com/bass-cabs/eden-ex112-cab.html ... Eude
Cheers! Thats a good priceeee!
23.
An Aggie SL112 migh be a good match and Alanbass1 still has a Berg AE112 for sale, I think
Good point!
24.
What exactly is tweetertone? And how does it sound flat? I'm used to the warmness and tube pre dynamics I get with the MB LMtube, I'm just thirsty for more power and less weight.
The tubetone on this is VERY impressive considering there are no tubes. I dont know how they did it, but they are masters of pedals etc, so there we go. It will sound bigger, fuller, more tubey and dirtier (if you want it to) cf to the LMTube. I used to use the RH450 flat, but before owning a Markbass I never did this. The tweetertone opens up the high end on the amp. A few said they found the RH450 too dark and vintage sounding, so with this, you can have that AND modern slap/treble crisp.
25.
Well the RS112, that I think Owain mentioned, might be a good shout dude. It's very compact and looks pretty cool , and even better you could use it along with your RS210 whenever you fancied it... Eude
Did think about that, but fancied a non-TC cab I think, something a little bigger for a 1x12.
