1.
With my greasy old shaft I had all the space I needed...
Quality.
2. I like the noise it makes. And I just can't get the same attack with fingers.
3.
I'm devastated. One of the few that could take something from inside his head, share it and put millions in a great state of mind. Huge loss. Rest In Power Prince Blue
Blue nails it. I think I only said this yesterday but, another one gone. WTF is happening?
4. Send it back, get a refund, move on. Sorted :-) It kind-of sounds like you're not happy with it anyway, so would you ever be? :-)
5.
...be sure to check out your library.
Just this ^^^ We are lucky enough to have had a new library built, in a new building, over the last couple of years. It's great, and beats that t'internet thingy for just going in and being... quiet. Oh, and it's full of books. And a cafe. And actual human staff.
6. Sounds like the basis of a nice saved-from-the-dead build thread to me. Got any pictures worth sharing?
7. I'd be miffed too bud, but it sounds like an easy fix.
8.
There's a guy on another forum who claims he can hear the difference in his hifi depending on whether the IEC power cable is straight or curved.
It's because the electrickery has to slow down to make it round the corners. With a straight cable it arrives at full speed.
9. What a tragic, sobering story. I've been watching it unfold in the media the last day or so. Poor fellas, it really looked as though something big was about to happen for them too; I bet they were so excited. Such sad news. Chris that's a good post bud, and could apply to any of us, regardless what industry we work in. I lost a work mate to an accident a few years ago; pushing on in bad weather to get home to his Mrs. He crashed into a field in poor visibility. It's easy done if you're tired; I dozed off on my bike on the M23 one night on the way home, frightened the trousers off me. Take care you lot :-)
10.
Always thought he was a massive, egotistical bell-end...

The man is a grade-A dong in every conceivable way. Every single thing he does makes him look more and more stupid

I think he's a talentless shouty poser
Little more to be said really. I'm surprised Kanye can reach his Twitter, what with him being so far up his own ar5e and all. It's probably not his fault however, he's just spent far too long surrounded by people telling him how great he is. If I were Mark Z, I'd keep my trap shut and let Kan't-ye dig his own hole.
11. They look great. I like the piping too, but it's the colour that does it for me. So much nicer than everyone-else-has-done-it black.
12. Nate would be proud bud - looks good :-) time to get your Foo-face on.
13. I bought Dan's Phil Jones cans. When they arrived I thought he'd sent me a new pair by mistake. Lovely cans in perfect condition, packed carefully and shipped quickly. Nice friendly, prompt messaging. A pleasure to deal with, thanks very much
14.
I did one https://soundcloud.c...robot/noodle-01 not very bassy, though...
That's just lovely mate, very dreamy
15. Another +1 for Mr Flowers. I go to a lot of his Brighton jazz gigs with my Dad, and my little lad mentioned he wanted to go too, right at the last minute. This particular gig was sold out, so I took a flyer and sent Herbie an email out of the blue, asking if there was any way he could sneak my son in. If I'm honest, I didn't expect a reply. I got a lovely long email in return, saying yes, we can do it, his name will be on the guest list, and make sure you come and say hi. So we did. A kind, friendly, happy human being, he always has time before and after the shows to wander round and have a natter with the audience, shake some hands and pose for pictures.
16. I appear to be as metal as a feather duster... 2/10 A shameful effort.
17.
As the saying goes: you can't teach an old dog neutriks.
Pure class :-) (and an interesting thread too)
18. Just woken up to this (yes, I know what time it is!) - Sir Tel was a staple of my morning for so many years, I feel like I've lost a favorite uncle. Funny, silly, kind and sincere; loved him. So sad he has gone.
19.
Pedant alert. Unless you are just looking at the webpage and not listening, you won't have a butchers'.
*slaps forehead* - of course! Doh :-) I should have said 'I'll have a goosey' instead ;-)
20. That looks very interesting, thanks. Will have a butchers later :-)
21. To be honest, I'd be more concerned about the intentions of that MASSIVE eel asleep on the sofa...
22. Sounds like a good fix to me. Profit-related decision by Marshall I'd bet. Good for you finding the proper part from another source.
23. Merry Christmas one and all :-)
