1. I have the Smooth Hound wireless. It's tiny, bloody marvellous and the batteries last FOREVER. Jolly happy I is.
2. Sounded great, and what a venue! Bet that was an early start though...
3. Sold my Fender acoustic guitar to Russ, what a lovely chap. Another easy-going, friendly BassChat transaction. I'd happily buy or sell again with Russ. Thank you mate ☺

In these 'what to buy' cases, there is usually a suggestion by someone that the op go into a shop, road-test some cabs / amps / basses / leads / leather trousers / whatever, and buy the one that he / she like the sound of. That would have worked here surely? I think the op is fixated on achieving a 'flat' sound above all else (or just trollin'). I bet a good proportion of us, me included, don't know or care what 'flat' sounds like anyway. ftr, I like 10's too, but my cab is a 2x12! And y'know what? I don't care if it's flat, spherical or an accurate representation of that Kardashian bints' mahoosive arse, if it sounds great, it sounds great.
5. Beautiful. Is the owner of that limb happy?
6.
My new bass will be with me on Tuesday
That's very cool, well done bud :-)
7. What a great picture. Many of us would give our eye teeth to sit there!
8. He was on form at MK on Sunday, a top show all round I thought. Royal Blood could have held the place on their own, they were excellent. I'm still recovering...
9.
Open 'view new content'. Look at the menu side bar at LHS. At the bottom there's 'Filter content'. Click on this. A menu will open, listing all the sub forums. Click on the subforums you like. Now save. Your new content should henceforward be filtered to reflect your choices and all will be lovely.
You sir, are a bloody life-saver.
10. Classic Milty argument thread. Post a predictably contentious question, then argue that pretty much everyone else is wrong. Well done mate, you've got another notch on your bedpost.
11.
Late to the party, planer...
No change there then 😀 The puss cats are su-purr, thanks ☺
12.
Yep, the BC212 handles 250 watts.
And they're great value cabs. Love mine.
13. Same thing really, though possibly sturdier. http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0030LVC7Q Is there anything you can't buy from or via Amazon...?
14.
Am I being too precious about this? I really think his manners and etiquette are poor.
I don't think you're being precious at all; it wouldn't happen with any other kind of band, so why does he think it's ok because it's a church band? Who runs the band? There must be someone in charge. Surely it's their call to hire and fire, even if you are there on a volunteer basis. If nothing else it's just rude.
15. Superb! No point standing at the back with one of those!
16. I like Scott's style and he is easy to listen to. I find a lot of what he teaches is way over my head, which is my fault of course, not his. This three-parter on groove is a case in point. He says 'take your bass playing to the next level' waaaay too often ;-) I'm using his methods to try and cure my flying fingers at the moment. Will it work? Ask me in a month :-)
17.
I would suggest Neutrik NP2X straight jacks and NP2RX right-angle versions.
I would too. Nothing better imo.
18.
A set of D'Addario black nylons will transform it!
I see more shopping on my horizon... and on the upside, a set of those will just about double it's value!
19. I bought a bass from Paul this week, what a lovely fella. Oh, and the bass is nice too! There was a little courier problem, which I'm happy to say Paul has taken on as his own and dealt with it flawlessly. Paul, you are a credit to this site, and I would be very happy to deal with you again mate, thanks very much.
20. This is my bargain-bin Harley Benton 'deko' electro-acoustic, bought from Thomman for about £40. It's nicer than it has any right to be really, though I might treat it (and me!) to some different strings; the stock ones are a bit, well, 'industrial' is probably the best word I can find... I love it though, and even more cos it was cheap :-)
