New Zoom B3

Having read pretty much the entire thread now i think i am going to have to pull the trigger on one of these As well as being useful for my covers bands i am also quite into jamming dubby dancey stuff with some mates. How do you guys rate the synths, envelope filters ? Also has anyone achieved anything dubstep sounding... ish?
7. Fender 51P has a trade pending. Fretless still up for grabs. May withdraw if no takers here and keep it.... or may eBay.
8. PM replied - still here 😉
9. I've got a white BB425, awesome basses! I want a 424 now!
10. Time for a bumption
11. It's somewhere between the two, not as wide as my P bass but then not as thin as my 62RI jazz at the nut. The neck pocket is fender size and is a nice tight fit in the body. Just measured with a tape measure, the nut is about 40mm with the rear profile being more flat jazz like rather than my chunky P, but not as skinny as my jazz. Hope that helps, I can take more pics of the neck if you like...although am off to work now so will be later this eve/tomorrow.
12.
That's a pretty fretless I wonder what I could get rid of - I have too many basses. Let me have a think.
Not only does it look pretty but more importantly it plays and sounds beautiful with very low action...i preferred this Hohner neck over a Fender fretless which is why i have had it for sometime...but i to have too many basses and that fretless day isn't happening for me (yet!)...althoughif it doesn't sell/trade then i will not be unhappy to keep it
13. An evening bump, no interest they're both cracking basses and the fretless will not disappoint
14. Interested in a swap for my 51 RI P bass ? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/182396-fsft-fender-precision-51-ri-lpb-hohner-professionalfender-bitsa-fretless/
15.
The Telebass was once mine - wish I could afford to buy it back.
Yeah its still pretty much immaculate too
16. Forgot to mention the fretless has some funky old school capacitor thing in the electric's giving an even better tone.
17.
I love that 51 Reissue
Yeah it is nice isn't it, can't fault it really but just feel it isn't me. More tecno info on the bass here from Fender Japan - http://www.fenderjapan.co.jp/opb51-sd.html
18. If playing with my soul outfit i love playing Dusty's version of 'Son of a preacher man' - it's like a kind of stoned line, if playing reggae i quite like 'Johnny be Good' Peter Tosh version & if playing Ska then 'Ghost town' is good fun. Must confess to getting into my blues/jazz walking though at the mo and really enjoying 'Zoot suit riot' by the Cherry poppin Daddies...i don't play it note for note though.... i just do my own walk...with a few trips on the way (not the LSD type btw)

I love my BB414

I'm loving my recently acquired BB425 from Telebass off here. I haven't got a bad word to say about these basses...quite the opposite. I was pleasantly shocked at just about everything about the bass - plays beautiful, low action, looks great, extremely well built, perfect intonation, and awesome tone too. The neck profile reminds me of a few Lakland 5ers that i've past owned so that was a nice surprise also. I feel the GAS looming which often makes me think i should get a matching 424 - hmmm one needs money!!!. On my 425 the P pick up, with the current TI flats that are on it, makes for a killer dub/reggae tone which is ultimately what this bass is being used for, very chuffed with these basses... definitely one of Yamaha's jewel in the budget crown.
20. Just sold my bitsa P bass to Kert. Despite crappy Royal mail taking eons to deliver it finally got delivered and Kert was cool all along with there slow delivery- much appreciated. Enjoy the bass matey. Buyers & sellers can deal in total confidence, a credit to basschat

22. Have just done a cash/trade for Den's lovely BB425 Yamaha Bass. Totally top fellow all round & he even came around to deliver the bass pre his gig - brilliant!...Thankfully from not too far away though . Totally in love with the bass, in fact i'm quite blown away how good it actually is...will the fenders be taking a back seat???...ahem! . Anyhow, big thumbs up from me, buyers & sellers can deal in total confidence
