1. On the basis of Pussyfunk you could drop in some of early Parliaments 'They call my baby pussycat'...great raw funk tune Another band name that could follow the trend 'The Feline Funk Consortiuum' ...think that's groovy? 😄
2. Hi mate, If you ever decide to sell the 15" Hartke give a shout up.
3. Ah yes, definitely one bass i really miss, but alas i'm skint after a recent 5 string purchase. Great bass this folks, superb neck - probably the best jazz neck I've played and well Lindy's as well...top notch and a lot of bass for the money. Who ever buys this will not be disappointed. Good luck with the sale mate, Telebass is a top chap too.
4. Just recently sold a bass to Timm (Tomm ). Absolutely top gentleman from Germany, sorted courier logistics too, hassle free bank transfer...the works! Great comm's all round. Buyers and sellers can deal/trade in confidence...100% credit to the Basschat community. All the best Timm and i hope your enjoying your new purchase...i have a feeling you are Lee
5. Welcome to the forum Jess, couldn't help but notice your name as i play with a covers band called 'Jessica and The Rabbits'

7. GONE Recently got this lovely bass in a trade on here as i fancied trying some Spector love. It really is a beauty of a bass in every way except the active EMG sound is not really suiting me, i'm more of a passive old school kind of guy If honest. I have thought about perhaps kitting it out passively but it kind of seems a bit sacrilege considering how it is supposed to sound so therefore i am offering it for a trade to see if i can find anything more suitable to my needs, if not i will probably go the passive route. From previous owner: The Bass is in excellent condition, some very minor surface scratches on the body but these are almost impossible to photograph. I've took a pic of the lower strap pin since it has a small chip by it but from the photo, it's hard to see because this is quite small. Bass has just been set up with some new Dunlop strings and plays very well, a new 9V Duracell has just been put in too. The bass comes with a Hiscox hardcase which is also in great condition. Just my addition to add, EMG's PJ, Spector Tonepump active circuit (no trim pot), Schaller tuners, very low action with no buzzes, stonking slap sound - quite 'hifi' and modern sounding, neck thru, brass nut, and quite possibly the most well built bass i have ever seen....quality is second to none! Hope the previous owner doesn't mind me recycling his better pictures too: Trade bait: 1) 5 string Jazz, prefrably passive with a good tight B string (i.e USA Fender, Lakland JO etc)...may instead swap my Lakland 5501, passive with Nordstrands for a 5 string jazz if anyone is interested ??? 2) Musicman (the only actives i do get on with ) - Ideally an EB Sterling, or 4/5 EB StingRay 3) May consider other 4 strings such as a decent US/Jap 75 reissue Jazz, possibly a Lakland Duck Dunn, or quirky old basses i.e. Ibanez Musician, old battered (but playable) Fenders etc 4) Double bass set up for jazz with a low action 3/4 size...ready to gig Colours/combinations and odd scratch or dinks not a worry Based in Plymouth, courier options OK, prefer to post in UK only
8. Try a Lakland 5501 if you get chance ....sometimes they go for less than £500, über bargain
9. Recently sold an Ampeg 4x10 to Marvin. He even traveled across county to collect - top bloke, sell & buy in confidence. Cheers, Lee
10. Good condition, may have the box knocking around somewhere...great pedal. SOLD
11. Just bought a Hartke 4x10" XL, great cab/deal and Cliff is true gent too. Buyers/sellers can deal in total confidence. Nice to meet you Cliff. All the best
12. I'm a big fan of Laklands 5 string basses, have settled on a 55-01 but all that I have tried or owned seem to be consistently great

TRADED: Great Scott!, Scott bass that is. This really is a top quality hand built boutique jazz...you could even call it a super jazz like i do. I would definitely say its better than my USA Fender if i am totally honest but my red Fender colour suits my functions band better and my band members will not let me part with the red (meh!!...too much red...red ties...red trainers and now frickin red guitars!)...and so i guess they're both similar in a lot of ways which is why i am considering a possible trade for something totally different...although i may see sense and decide to keep her as i really do like this bass a lot. So the bass, Dimarzio Model J, adjustable pole pick ups (cream) 34" scale - with 24 frets and a Brass nut Narrow neck (jazz profile) - maple neck with rosewood board and abalone front dots brass side dots Neck thru Mahogany body with beautiful quilt maple drop top Wood plate over control route (slightly darker colour to the rest of the bass) Schaller 3D 4 bridge (Adjustable sideways string spacing....perhaps the best bridge i have ever seen!) Controls: Passive vol, tone, vol, tone .....brilliant sounds all round, especially with the bridge tone down and neck full on...great mowtown vibes! Lovely low action and Elites strings (45's i think) ...oh forgot to mention, she a lightweight too...just under 8lbs The bass has been gigged regularly and has typical gigging and general play wear but certainly nothing that affects playability. So if you looking for a pristine model look elsewhere. More pics: https://plus.google....=CIv9iIaCy-CSYg I have no idea what trade price to put on this but i'm going to say £550 is a good price on this bass, it really is a lot of bass for the money and probably worth a lot more. Trades, Well not entirely sure but something Musicman ish, Sterling Ray, Sterling etc, or a 5 string jazz perhaps MIM/lakland etc, maybe a Warwick or Spector of some sort would be nice, happy to consider a cheaper bass plus some cash my way too like MM Sub etc...oh and other red basses - I also like quirky basses (like this one) so old basses like the Ibanez Musician or Peavey T40 or whatever. Would also possibly consider lightweight cabs too or maybe a Markbass head....happy to look at deals etc As i am Plymouth based i guess postage is going to be the main deal but happy if anyone wishes to view this lovely bass. 19. Recently traded my Precision with Russ for his Jazz, great deal and we're both very happy with the trade. Top fella to deal with, great comm's all round and a credit to basschat. Deal with confidence. thanks, Lee
20. Many people overlook the Fortess, not sure why, but they're a bargain often on here...I love mine (apart from the bogie green colour)
21. Great thread, and love the o/p's Capri I've got a bogie green Warwick fortress - I keep thinking about doing a maroon red or maybe another colour. Ive never been struck on the green if im honest. However the body is stained green, no poly finish. Could I just smooth sand and then primer, colour etc?
22. Bob Marley's / Babylon by bus Funkadelic's / Maggot Brain
