1. I think Gong perfected their best sound with Mike Howlett, not the original but certainly my favourite. Same can be said for Ozrics Roly Wynn (RIP).... Fantastic playing
2. Bump for the white one, great bass folks!
3. Just bought a Lakland off John, top guy & top bass. A credit to basschat. All the best, Lee

Warwicks
Yup, s/h and German's the way to go. Don't underestimate the Fortresses, tho - I've had a few Warwicks (Corvette, $$ NT, etc) and I think my 93 wenge-neck Fortress is one of the best basses, let alone Warwicks, I've ever played. Mmmmm, wenge...
de ja vu buddy but have to plus the 1 on that...still loving mine...apart from our colours eh

New Zoom B3

C'mon B3 geeks...get sharing ya god damn patches...at least on that talkbasser's googleydoodaa ...i've put a couple up
10. Anything by 'Chic' matey. My soul band, perhaps now a bit funk too, have just started playing 'I wish'...great fun to play. Other easy cover suggestions would be 'Express yourself,'Move on up'' or 'Long train running'....but if they're proper funkateers then funk up Chameleon or some Jamiroquai ...May the funk be with ya brother!
11.
Me to, can take one prrson with me from plymouth? Just need some fuel money, have a van so happy to take gear pm me if you interested
I'm tentative depending on commitments & uni work at the mo. However if i do go i'd be up for a lift i reckon but will confirm closer to the date. Obviously if someone else comes along with a definite confirmation then off course let them join you. Anyhow where is Sherbourne?
12. I've just been playing reggae on mine tonight, these are great basses - good luck with the sale
13.
The H2 is fine then. Set it for the quality and record level you need, let it run. I had one, it was superb, great for recording gigs too. We use our iPhones these days though so I sold it to chris b.
I've got a H2, they're great. I'm intrigued to how your recording on the iPhone...do you use a separate mic? Which app?
14. PM's relied & they're still here. Mainly looking for a sale but may consider a swap for passive 4str Lindy Fralin or Villex pick ups...or a decent Envelope filter at a push....as ever though cash is king.
15. Pick ups are EMG LG (Bridge) & EMG SJ (Neck) both USA. I think its these, http://www.emgpickups.com/products/index/60/25/2 with the wiring kits as shown. Hope this helps to the PM's.
16. As it says...some fine Active EMG Jazz pick ups and the controls VOL/VOL/Tone....i've opted to go to passive so these are surplus. Excellent condition etc. £85 posted. Can sort pics tomorrow if necessary (I've edited the post as i had orignally put with pre amp, my dumb!...the active bits are all actually inside the EMG pick up i believe ..the extra electric bits is the wiring loom, pots etc...everything you need just to put straight into a jazz bass...no soldering either) see pic https://www.dropbox....k5l4w/photo.JPG
17. Ahh great to see you on here Ed, i can vouch for Ed's credibility and genuineness (and superb bass work) . I was originally asked to put this up for sale on behalf of Ed but due to recent study commitments i haven't had the time. Anyhow just wanted to give Ed some support as a newbie....someone will get a lovley bass no doubt too Lee
18. I could potentially be up for this too, i'm Plymouth based...would be great to share lifts etc.
19. Old thread bump Can you still get Villex pick ups in the UK? Specifically jazz bass 4's
