I got down to two, back up to four...gotta love the variation

I've had to cancel a festival appearance ( Jubilee relates) due to tonsilitus ....gutted

Mine is vol vol tone tone. I actually love a combination of tone rolled off on the bridge but full on the neck...the wizard trads I got sound great too. The passive wiring was done by basschatter Kiogon, he did a fantastic job with screw terminals so no soldering was needed. The bass interestingly seems to still retain the Warwick mids...something in the woods/construction maybe??? I've always believed the wood thing was hype but now I'm not so sure

Just bought a nice MIJ Fender Jazz off Ash, top guy and good communications all round. Delivered this morning, gigged this afternoon at a local festival in the sunshine and now back at home staring at it ...more festival action tomorrow though Anyhow, buyers & sellers can deal in confidence. Thanks Ash

Warwick Fortress from 1994. Which type of neck? Slim or baseball bat?

Just bought an Eden Nemesis NA650 off Simon, great communications, friendly chap and agreed postage to Devon - brilliant all round. Big thumbs up for a great amp too - used at a reggae jam last night and it performed wonderfully; the Orange terror bass may get a summer rest Buyers/sellers can deal in confidence. Thanks matey

Recently traded a Warwick Corvette for Matts Ashdown 4x8 cabs. Totally genuine and friendly chappy who is a credit to basschat. Delivered the cabs at my inlaws from Leeds to Birmingham too - true star. Thanks for a lovely trade Matt...buyers & sellers should deal in confidence.

Covers bands "openers" what do you start with?
Raslee replied to witterth's topic in General Discussion
I'm playing with a soul/funk outfit at the mo and i'm loving opening with Average White Band's 'Pick up the pieces'...then the vocalist comes on, or often we may open with Sam & Daves 'Hold on i'm coming'...depending on the venue really. -

Hi, again struggling with time to work these out by ear...plus my ear isn't that great either so was wondering if anyone could transcribe? Ideally to tab if poss...i can read music ish but i'd only end up writing the notes out so tab is quicker for me but will live with notes if thats all available (i know, i know...should learn to read more - maybe when i finish my studies i'll have more time to dedicate ). Doesn't need to be 100% accurate, just enough to get through the tune confidently...99% is good Obviously willing to pay £ too, PM me for details. Need asap if poss too.
I just sold some bits and now have a little cash in my wallet, now I have seen these amps and there is a burning in my pocket, should I do this? or the other option is to give the cash to Mrs Merlin???
I shall follow this thread with interest as i too am considering the BH500...have been researching it throughout today and am struggling to find any negatives about it to be honest.
I replaced the pups in my Fortress with a Wizard P/J set, but that was because I was after a particular sound (older-school than the MECs), and I got it.
I've just done the same myself to my Fortress, fitted some PJ Wizard trads and a passive wiring loom...love it so far....difference is night and day to the MEC's but i did like the MEC's too but the Wizards are giving much more warmth and vintage tones which suits my bands needs better. I've just recently traded a passive corvette and didn't experience or notice the issues the OP is having...maybe i didn't have it long enough to notice but it sounded fine at a gig recently. i remember having issues with the 'G' on a Musicman but thats another post
MB1. "Not now!... Silent Singer!" BUMP!
I think she's going mate....maybe next time
Hi does the head come out of this to use with another cab set up? And do you have a idea of weight ? Cheers Bri
Not sure Bri, never taken the amp out. I used to have a Markbass Jeff Berlin combo and the head had no lid when removed but i made my own easily enough. Weight wise i think its about 20-21Kg....a one arm lift, very portable

I got this lovely combo recently from here, It is a superb combo with surprisingly great low end with fantastic definition and clarity of sound. It has a 500W LMK head which i believe is rare and is two channel i.e you switch between two channels giving different eq settings or even blend the two...very versatile and useful. It will also come with the foot switch that switches the channels. I need to recoup some cash and as this plays second best to my Orange terror bass its my my first option to sell - also i feel its too good to be a back up rig IMO, plus i am acquiring some other neo cabs from another trade so ideally looking for a trade of a bass head plus cash of at least £250-£300 my way. I will do an outright sale for a bargain £550 + P&P (Courier). Tradewise i'm pretty much open to any bass head as long as it doesn't weigh a ton and can be sent to me in rainy Devon. Must be capable of at least 350W++...ideally 500W+. Going down to 2ohms would be a big bonus. Would love an Eden again, WT550 and willing to adjust my cash pending wifey approval on that one but as i say open to most idea's....Markbass, Genz Benz, EA, Ashdown, Ampeg etc W.H.Y.... The original for sale add is here, please read this for more info: http://basschat.co.u...s/page__hl__lmk Hope Rogerds doesn't mind me using his pics, i only have a mobile phone camera...recycling at its best:
