2. Interested in a swap ??? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175130-ft-warwick-corvette-passive-german-ash-2004/
3.
Wow, I wish mine was this colour. Bump for a great bass, the neck on these models is just fantastic
Me too, i have a green machine- much prefer this colour, beautiful. Fortress's are amazing basses and as mentioned the necks are gorgeous too. Coincidentally I am just going all passive with mine, gonna try them Wizard things everyone goes on about . This bass is surely worthy of a punt into quality Warwicks. Good luck with the sale
4. Would possibly be able to add a few £ to trade up for something, alternatively may consider cheaper basses + a litte £ my way...particularly interested in Squire CV's, Farida jazz etc etc
5. Just got another fantastic wiring loom off John to help me turn my Warwick bass to a passive bass. Awesome all round, top quality communications and a mighty fine product too, loving the new tonal sounds of my bass. You've gained a customer for life he matey. Nice one
6. Not a Fender jazz, but a passive jazz config at best if you fancy a trade??? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/175130-ft-warwick-corvette-passive-german-ash-2004/
7.
A Jazz-like 38mm at the nut (from memory). The neck is chunkier than a Jazz, but much slimmer than my Mike Dirnt Precision. It's a fast neck.
Yeah cheers mate that's the dimensions. The neck is significantly smaller than my bitsa P bass too
Cheers, I play a usa precision but considering something different as I'm starting to find the neck a bit chunky for some reason even tho I've played them for years. Could get a jazz again but considering something different altogether.
Go for it, great bass
8. Recently got this in a trade but between trades I acquired a 90's Warwick Fortress and that seems to be my goto Warwick bass right now. It is however a lovely bass, very smooth with low action, tons of that Warwick growl and despite being passive its actually louder than my Fortress, plays like a very nice jazz bass,...very nice looking too. There's a couple more things i need more urgently than this bass so i'm looking ideally for a trade for either: a) A Markbass cab, must be 8ohms to sit under my Markbass 2x10 combo, preference is for a 4x10 but may consider 1x15 or 2x10 or W.H.Y +cash maybe b ) 5 string bass W.H.Y.... favourites would be Lakland 5501, G&L 2500 or Fender 5 string maybe...wider string spacing please 17mm-19mm c) May consider another 4 string, MIJ or MIA Fenders P or J's or an older 90's warwick with thinner neck...again W.H.Y Trade wise i value this bass around £450+ Hope Jacqueslemac doesn't mind me using his sexy pics...much better than my iphone efforts!!!! As you can see, there's a little bit of discolouration where the owner before last didn't use enough wax when the bass was new. Apart from that, the bass is in excellent condition and comes with the rock case, owners manual and other case candy. I'm Devon based so guess couriers will have to be the way forward.
9. Two of my personal favourites are....but then i have shed loads of favs and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eahey6oHst0
10.
Ahh. But lets be honest here, does this amp, in its original form, has low end capabilities?
I use mine for reggae, no problem with low end ...i ditched the SVT too
11.
Its a warwick fortress one, it was my first proper expensive bass wen i bought it new in 94. The neck is the best neck ive ever played, fits like a glove and sounds awesome. Oh and my missus took a pic of it to the cake makers and got a model of it made and put beside the 'groom' on our wedding cake... How cool!!!
I've just scored a s/h Fortress last week. Freakin loving it to bits, such a great bass for little £ in the second hand market. I was never a fan of active basses but the Fortress just seems to work for me with the stock MEC set up and yes the necks are the best 4 string i've ever played too, lovely and smooth and fast...i'm a happy Warwick convert, great for funk
12. Second hand would be my choice, I scored a German 98 Warwick Fortess for £350 the other week and am chuffed to bits with it, superb bass-originally cost over £1k new. But just to echo if buying new then a CV Jazz Squire would be worth a look.
13.
London Elektricity do some nice live stuff, proper band like!
Wow that was awesome

Just sold a Barefaced cab to Don. Top guy all round, great communications all the way and a totally 100% trustworthy chappy. Buyers and sellers can deal with in confidence. Enjoy the Barefaced matey Peace & groove bass brethren
15. Can this in any way be fitted in a Warwick Corvette...if so colour me interested
16. Is the Jazzman still available ?
17.
So did anybody go last night? I thought they were bloody stunning and the double hit of Groundhog's Day and Wynona at the end left me smiling all the way home. Can't wait for tonight. Although Les's solo during Tommy The Cat did make me just want to put my bass down and try a different instrument.
I was there, foookin' amazing wasn't it? ...I'm a total convert!!! I thought they were all great, fantastic guitar work, drums etc....and yeah that solo did leave me thinking i don't play bass
18. A pre Primus poo at service station bump
19. Got one potential trade on the table, any more ? Don't mind adding a bit of cash to trade up too.
20. Hello. I recently traded this great German Warwick $$ with another B/Cer. When i got it i thought i'm never going to get on with it...but as time went on i am really loving this bass lots and Warwicks in general. It is probably the most versatile bass i've ever played and looks and feels stunning. It has got gig marks, nothing tragic but it is a working bass. So why do i want to trade? Well I'm finding the giant humbuckers are restricting my (dodgy) slap bits that i've just started doing in a new band...i can slap on the bass but not as good as on a jazz style configuration so i am preferring something with more space i.e corvette or open to suggestions. Also i used to have a 90's Corvette and regret selling that on, a thin necked Corvette again would be great. I would also prefer the slimmer neck if possible although this is not essential as i have got used to the larger Warwick neck. Open to other Warwick ideas too, Streamers, Thumbs or whatever they're called Hope Mike doesn't mind me using his old pics for now http://s1126.photobu...tward/Corvette/ and pics of a new one on ebay, didn't realise they were so pricey. http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_3048wt_1012 More pics available on request when i can find where my toddler has hidden the camera (again!!!). Has a wonderful Warwick gig bag and all the warwick paperwork, tool kits etc etc...oh and did i mention it was German!!!!

23.
This thread was worth looking in on, for the title alone. Barefaced Big One? Ooooh matron...have a bump.
