  1. Yeah, will certainly add an additional complication in there! Best of luck though!
  2. Assuming it’s rounds you want, I’d suggest ordering a custom set from Newtone strings. You’ll also end up with the 4 strings in the set that you need, rather than an unneeded G as well.
  3. Saw them in Birmingham last month. They really are very, very good live and have been steadily (and noisily) building for a few years now. Georgia has clearly put a lot of time and effort into her sound and pedalboard. Indeed, she’s one of those secretive types it seems and the blanket over the board may be a little superfluous as the pedals are largely taped over to some degree or another anyway. Anyway, yes, they’re ace and I hope and expect them to kick on further from here.
  4. LOLs at the angry people. You’re proper hilarious. x
  5. Yep. For years was two Japanese Precisions strung B-D. Different models and finishes but only about a year apart in age. These days it’s two Mustangs. I own other basses but my two ‘main’ basses are always there or thereabouts more or less the same.
  6. Assuming they adopt the same format as previously for this tour (and nothing suggests they won’t from what I’ve seen) it’ll be two sets - first set original Primus, second set Farewell…
  7. Seems there’s still a fair bit to iron out. If not held yet, an initial session plus full info on the schedule would likely put you in a better position to properly make an informed call?
  8. Christ, that looks great!
  9. Barefaced is beret-fa-kayed, right? IGMC.
  10. Despite playing for 30 years I’d never tried flatwounds until last year.
  11. Not sure how cheap you can get them now but I picked up a Mooer Micro Power a couple of years back for not much at all for the same sort of reason. Same size as their pedals (so not much of a ‘brick’) and, while not fully isolated, has worked well and quietly when I’ve had the need.
  12. Lovely stuff here, good people of BC.
  13. If you’re questioning it then I’d say you’ve answered your own question. Not worth selling anything if you’re not totally decided at this moment in time. Give it some more time would be my advice.
  14. Bedroom amp for my son Weird trade.
  15. So cool!
  16. Off topic (and I may well be alone in this), but a run of Electromatic Billy Bo basses would make me happy.
  17. I bought a Revelation Bass VI not too long before Covid first hit. Have played it loads at home and LOVE IT, but haven’t yet used it much in my band. I do plan on doing so though as we’re only a two piece (bass&drums), so it’ll definitely get a ‘proper’ airing at some point. And yeah, I know what you mean about the Hagstroms!
  18. It can be an absolute minefield. What sounds good in demos on the web can sound derrière through your own rig. What sounds great through your rig then can sound derrière in a band mix etc. etc. Purely my opinion but based on your second post I’d say try a Green Russian Big Muff or a Z-Vex Mastotron as a starting point. They’re both great pedals, aren’t stupidly lofty boutique prices and I expect you’ll likely find something filthy you like in at least one of them. But yours, and any and everyone else’s mileage will very much vary!
  19. Think the bodies on these are basswood, and if memory serves the original Betsy is a ‘64, so 60s pu spacing I’d have thought.
  20. Also Shaw Taylor. I’ll get my coat. PS - enjoy the gig!
  21. A plus 1 for Newtone. Their Bass VI set is great.
  22. Get that totally. I guess it’s perhaps that I’m really used to a forum here where it doesn’t seem to happen that much that when it does it seems kind of odd (I’m not really active on any others tbh), especially as a fair few lately seem to be a decade plus old, rather than ones that have had content in the last…even couple of years or so. As has been mentioned above, thought maybe there was some level of bot activity for whatever reason. An ideal name for a C&W bar!
  23. Don’t know that there is a problem really. Just commenting as I’ve never seen so many in a similar period in here as there have been in the last couple or three months.
  24. I don’t mean clothes for the undead, but honestly…what is it with all of the zombie threads lately?!? P.S. I have only posted this so someone can resurrect the thread in 11 or 12 years to ask the same question…
