1. Huge thanks to everyone involved in organising & hosting the event. It was great fun, really enjoyed it - ended up staying longer than I was meant to! Whoops... Good to meet a few friends, as well as get chatting to new ones & try out some different gear. That P-bass that Shockwave had was lovely.... I was the one with the Orange terror head + barefaced can in the theatre room, for anyone wondering! Cheers
  2. Purchased a J&D Jazz from Dunc, no problems at all - quick comms throughout & bass packed like it was being delivered via a warzone. Hassle free, smooth transaction - recommended
  3. Me again! Just bought a Mono double case, again pleasant (I wouldn't have been if someone came knocking on my door whilst I was having dinner!) & smooth transaction. Cheers

Oh thanks, that's ruined the surprise!!!
  5.
The prices vary quite a lot. But, that's a good price. Not gobsmackingly low, as they very occasionally don't make £100. But on the other hand they sometimes go for £160 or so.
I saw a thread on here where one was sold for around £150, so that was my guide price. I think having cheap postage made it appeal to a few more bidders, but hey - I'm happy!
  6.
Westone Thunder 1A just popped up, starting bid £75 and £4.99 postage - listed under 'vintage electric guitars' rather than basses so it may miss a lot of searches and end up a massive bargain. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item2597140b01
Got it for £120 Seems to be about right? Never played one, but heard good things!

  11. I absolutely love the neck on my Duck Dunn... Why do this to me! I don't think I can quite afford it yet, but have a bass I may put up for the chop so who knows. Cheers
  12. I don't suppose you know what the weight is, and how the neck on these compares to the neck on a Duck Dunn model? Cheers

  14. A few more details may help generate some interest:

Is everything on the bass original? Has it been refretted/refinished/repaired or anything?
What is the weight?
What is the nut width?
Where are you based?
Are you willing to post/ship the bass?
Cheers
  15. Clarky put up with me mulling over whether I wanted to sell my fretless, then put up with me mulling over whether I'd trade it... met up for a chat to swap basses, he even threw in some free life advice (don't get married & don't have kids... I think that was he said!). Another top transaction, cheers!
  16. Phil bought my Tony Franklin fretless from me - popped over to try it out before making a decision so got to have a brief chat - quick to respond, excellent comms & a thoroughly nice chap - highly recommended! Enjoy the bass!
  17. And my car failed it's MOT - price drop to £800 before I get the bill!
  18. Bump! I passed my driving test on Friday (first time, woohoo!) so may be able to do a meetup / collection in the nearby area.
  19. So glad I don't play 5s!
  20. Bump - may consider a trade for a jazz

    Rumple

Just to echo everything that's already been said - very pleasant, smooth & quick transaction in selling my Tanglewood travel bass. Met up at a pub to hand the bass over & ended up staying for a couple of pints & a chat. Another recommendation to add to the list above from me, Enjoy the bass!
