1. And sold pending the usual!
2. Correction: 'I can probably arrange delivery in the UK via a courier for £20...'
3. Howdy folks, I have up for grabs my Barefaced Super Midget (steel grill). It's the latest & greatest Generation 3 model, which I've owned new since Dec '13, so it's 14 months old. It's been gigged & rehearsed with plenty of times, though never in anger! It comes with a Roqsolid cover, although in a couple of places the top layer is fraying from the bindings - will grab photos. Condition wise, it's in great condition as I've always had the cover - however there is one dent along one of the front edges. Nothing major, but I will photo it. Doesn't affect playability in any way It's a superb cab - lightweight (approx. 11 - 12 kg), loud & fantastic tone, complete with adjustable tweeter. More information: http://barefacedbass...uper-Midget.htm The only reason for sale is that I've now ordered their newest 2x10 cab! If I hadn't tried & bought one of them, this would have been staying right where it is. I've used it both on it's own, and with a Super Compact too - together they make a cracking flexible & portable rig. Photos to come! I can probably deliver in the UK for about £20? Would need to check I can find a box first though! I'm based in Basingstoke, Hampshire - trial & collection welcome. I may be able to meet somewhere to hand over if that helps. Any questions let me know! Cheers, Gareth
4. Another random bump, might be interested in trades? 4 string only though!
5. Do you know the shaft size (ooh err missus) they're for?
6. Do you know the shaft dimensions for the tuners? Cheers
7. I am so glad/gutted I reduced the credit limit on my credit card.
8. Cheers for all the info guys I've ended up going for a bone nut as I found one at the right size. I'll be getting my luthier to fit it, I don't trust myself with sandpaper / glue / anything other than playing bass.
9. If I didn't already have one I'd be out begging for money for this. Fantastic basses, the neck is so easy to play - lowest action I've ever been able to get on a bass. GLWTS, though I doubt it will hang around!
10. Another bump for a bass that deserves to be played?
11. First outing with a new band! I had nothing to do with the name... We've got our first gig at the Brewery Bar in Botley, near Southampton, this Saturday. It'll be a stripped back yet (hopefully) energetic electro/acoustic set, with the drummer on a cajon - a few solo acoustic songs from the frontman before we join in with a bit more noise. You can listen to some of Scott Freeman's stuff here: https://soundcloud.com/scottfreemanmusic/sets/return-to-you-ep Venue: http://brewerybar.co.uk/ Not sure what time we're on yet, but I guess 8.30pm! Any questions let me know!
12. Ok, I'm a little confused - there's plastic, resin, graphite, bone, brass, plastic... The options seem endless. I need to replace the nut on a fretless jazz neck (38mm). I've found a bone replacement, and a compound one - resin + graphite. Is there much difference between the types? Is it worth worrying about? Anything to avoid?
13. Let's try a price drop to £130?
14. I haven't read the info on the law, but is it not possible to sell as a consumer? I'm guessing not, but thinking of selling on ebay for example - that's consumer to consumer, although probably because ebay is involved means it's not.
15.
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions/concerns. I'm not £300 an hour on here.
All basschat members get a 10% discount...
16. Bump!
17. New year, new bass Sir? Bump!
18. Sold 2 items in 2 days to Davie, instant payment & swift comms made both very smooth & easy transactions. Huge recommendation from me - as above, top bloke! All the best
19.
And SMAZ is such a great bloke to deal with Mike (Pestie)
Cheers I've checked the neck: There are a few small, light scratches - you can barely feel one of them, the rest you can't. I've only noticed them because I've looked for them & intentionally ran my thumb over them - I hadn't noticed or felt them them through playing. Behind the 2nd fret at the upper part of the back of the neck (near the E string) is a small ding which you can just about feel but you'd have to have a weird grip for it to get in the way. Just after the 2nd fret on the fretboard, there is a tiny ding on the edge of the fretboard (E string side). Tiny, doesn't affect playability but thought I'd mention it. My phone currently has no battery so I can't grab pictures at the mo, but if you'd like some I'm more than happy to take some later. Cheers
20. I bought this a while ago from JapanAxe, but have recently bought a Cafe Walter headphone amp so no longer need it. Great little tool for practicing at home. Main features:

10 amp models plus synth
12 cab models
Chorus, Flanger, Tremolo, Phaser, Uni-vibe, Rotary, Pitch shifter, Filter, Delay, Reverb
50 preset + 50 user programs
100 preset rhythm patterns with tap tempo
Phrase trainer - sampled phrase can be slowed down
Auxiliary input for iPod etc
Easily tweak Bass/Middle/Treble/Volume without going into menus
Includes original box & 4.5v Sony power supply. Note: The switch on the side that changes between active & passive input is missing (was like that when I received it), so if you need to use this switch you'll need a paperclip, drawing pin or something small to change the switch. Still works fine though. I'm looking for £35 delivered within the UK, which is what I paid for it. Cheers, Smaz
