  1. Fitted a Kiogon stack control loom to my Roadworn Jazz - Wow! It sounded great anyway, but now sounds even better. Just that bit more "bite" yet still very definitely "Jazz sounding". Simple fit for the loom, can't get over the difference it has made :)

  2. Happy CHRISTMAS !! oh.. I mean Happy Easter 🐰

  3. The Total Watts bit on my profile now says "69 Excellent" which isn't in the least bit funny.

  4. Revisiting playing with a pick on my P bass. Not called a Precision for nothing!  'The boys are back in town'. I'm using the really thick injection molded ones, 50p each from London Guitar Studio - but you can't slot them between the s'plate and body at the top which is where a pick belongs.

  5. So good to be back with a band.

Playing keys this time around. Big old doom metal sounds!!

  6. That feeling when you've been eyeing up a B-stock item on Thomann, eventually talk yourself into it, and it's gone...

  7. Hello! We're a two piece, lead bass, female fronted rock band from Las Vegas NV. We are here to share a little of what we do and learn more about how we can use the bass as a lead instrument :)  We use a dual amp set up. Lot's to share! Thanks for having us!

  10. Our trombone dude passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday. Whole band is stunned and bereft... can't believe we'll never see him again. Such a lovely guy.
    RIP Stewy the 'Bone. </3

  11. WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!

Don't lefties suffer from Bass GAS like the rest of us?? Just looked at the Lefties for sale thread, 8 pages in 6 years...sooo disappointing...

You're all letting the side down..😉😉

  12. After more than 4 years of messing around and uncertainty - it's now definite that my job is going. I've got 18 months tops :(
But at least I've got my bass playing to enjoy - thank heavens I took up the bass again. It's my therapy :)

Yes, I saw the one for sale @Grantd - I had to sell a bass before buying another.... which is the usual story, I guess for many of us
One of the basses I was selling sold..... just after the Wingbass had gone :(
Ah well - I need to sell at least one more now anyway....

Hi eude. Cheers - Yes I had seen that. I contacted Alan at ACG. He told me they don't do the same as Wingbass, i.e. basically an instrument without the first 12 frets
Their short scale basses are 26 1/2" scale only. Though he was thinking about doing a headless version, to make a slightly smaller, compact bass.
I'm just liking the concept of a Wingbass, I must say. Wish someone close to me had one I could try out...

  21. It's January, so it's that time of year when the band I'm in decides to implode. It's a different band every year by the way. Back to square one it is then.

  22. 16 gigs came in today! MD'ing 13 of them too 👌

  23. Hi all,

Thinking of getting the new Fender flea Active, however i have yet to see one in the UK.

Does anyone have one and if so what are your thoughts on it.

    Regards

    Rob
