  1. Long version. Practically never used, so in excellent condition. Price includes post. The Mega Bass Strap™ utilise the same weight reduction system and comfort design incorporated in the Super Strap Series. The longer pad design offers added comfort across the shoulder and back while offering more overall length to the strap. The straps incorporate top grade leather for a secure attachment. The Mega Strap series is ideal for the avid musician playing for long hours. There's no better way to eliminate shoulder fatigue than to strap on one of the Mega Straps. The comfort speaks for itself! Neotech Mega Bass Strap •Easy to attach •Extra layer of internal foam padding adds to the comfort •Extra long neoprene pad design with patented control-stretch system •Made in the USA
  2. Relatively speaking, maybe £30 for the glossy auction brochure isn’t so bad after all? Another top reason to love David Gilmour, brilliant
  3. Last time was 2000, dislocated a shoulder in a pub gig, its never been the same since. That'll teach me...
  4. To quote - (A seaside resort visited in one's childhood) + (The name of the last establishment where you bought a hot beverage whether as a standalone or as the culmination of a tasty meal) It could be my porn name too... just sayin
  5. Did someone mention a new Fender product? Time for the old...
  6. Does Mickey Mouse know Gibson have got his ears?
  7. Listed my Squier Std Tele on guitarchat.co.uk - loads of upgrades, sweet player.

  8. I’m using a stereo lead, but I have s feeling it can be used with a mono lead by assigning ring and tip functions. You can download the manual pdf, it may explain more. In total I’m fairly sure you can add up to 4 switches or a combination of switches and expression pedals. But yes, more money and footprint kind of defeats the object eh?
  9. For just a tiny extra bit of footprint you can add two more switches. I got mine off eBay but they have a website - it’s called Skinny Little Twins As above, snapshots would be better if you don’t want latency when switching patches.
  10. It's a tough one - I'll be careful what I say, not because I think I may offend someone, but because each company and personnel will invariably see things differently dependent on their experience and perspective. From my experience in social care, good Director's are vastly experienced (or naturally gifted) especially outside their specialist area (e.g. HR, legislation, coaching etc.) , have worked their way up through the ranks, been innovative and decisive and have a natural disposition for the role. And in contrast, poor versions have been inexperienced, weak, over critical and reactive (to justify a position) and/or generally just bullshi**ers or 'yes' men. Speaking of both types, qualifications hasn't come into it as much as the skills noted in the first line of this para. People who do amazing at start ups deserve every praise and respect, no question. But it isn't a certainty that they'd enter another company and repeat that feat, and some need a person who's been around the block or has fresh ideas to add another dimension. This leads to my concern about the points in the advert regarding 'being on same page as CEO' and 'Translate and filter CEO message' type stuff. I get what they mean of course in that damage is done if people aren't in harmony, but they seem like leadership and middle management requirements to me when spelt out that blatantly... As for a Director - what about diversity? what about challenging the CEO constructively? What about bringing innovation and being given the opportunity to use it? The best Directors I've worked for have done all that. I'll never be a Director, and am biased by my experience (aren't we all?). I'm ranting because I'm about to lose an outstanding Director, following a long line of yes men, 'not a clue about the front line' types or dictators. So yeah Ped, you might just have the skills, if your CV doesn't get through then you just might need to meet on the 9th hole and have that chat to show your credentials... n.b. Of course, essentially Scott can ask for whatever he wants, even if it's a mini-me or glorified multi-tasking manager dressed up as Director, he's earned that right!!!
  11. I don’t really want to just type and diss, but honestly these two lines would make me run a mile for a plethora of reasons. Collaborate and stay on the same page with the CEO at all times. Filters and translates the CEO’s ideas into functional plans for the company.
  12. Apparently the Old Smoothie is next, according to a guy at Strings & Things. You may want to grab one of those too - awesome basses with their own vibe. ...not sure how your return will turn out though!
  13. Yes, discontinued. One of the Ball brothers was chatting about it on Talkbass, demand wasn’t there unfortunately.
  14. I failed as I needed to downsize my effects board - the irony 🙄
  15. For sale Pre EB & Pre MP Stingray Bass. Yes, an original Music Man bass, from the golden era before EB and also before Sterling Ball III announced being gender fluid and changed the company name to Music Person.
  16. Used 2057 Fender P Bass in sunburst, a bass so good they’ve still never changed the design in 100 years.
  17. Uh? You were thinking of selling the gilded white Ltd Ed with passive switch? I’m beginning to worry about you brother 🤣
  18. That’s a great way to buy a bass (wife issues aside!) My Special is a maple neck, but I’m such a fan of those big slab ebony boards, absolutely awesome necks. The colour is just so nice in the flesh too, great score you got there.
  19. Congrats! Nice one 👍
  20. That destiny sounds perfect! I try to photograph them, check them out, then store them a while to make it easier not to end up keeping them. Doesn’t always work though, so I have constant temporary withdrawal of adverts. I’m glad my Old Smoothie was permanently withdrawn though, that was a near miss. Enjoy that gig with the bass. Which one was it?
  21. I hear you, I struggled with listening to Fantomas, but then when I saw them live it all made sense and I spent the whole gig grinning from ear to ear. Watching him live with Rahzel was also hilarious. Massive respect to Patton and FNM.
  22. But do you need to sell them Warren, or do you just think you should for some reason? You’ve got some great gear, a lot of which gets played/gigged, and some others that are stunners for a ‘collection’ type vibe. In any case, the trick when selling is NOT to get them out of the case and play them once you have decided to sell them. If they aren’t basses that you’re selling because you don’t like them, then the reason you bought them will make you keep them! I’m down to 2 basses now, the last one I sold was a killer to sell (needed the cash) as it was my 66 P Bass in near mint condition, and a damn fine bass too. I left it in the case for a couple of months before selling it to a close friend, the trick was not to play it again until he handed over the cash. Truth is, with two great basses still in the house, I can’t and don’t complain about selling it. So the toughest part is playing them when you’ve decided to sell them, as you’ve found out! Just leave them in case, and sell them but don’t play them if you want to. Or just keep them and grow old pleasantly and unashamedly greedy
  23. I’ve had the pleasure of chatting to Sid after sending him an item. Don’t hesitate to deal with Sid, you’re in good hands Cheers pal.
  24. An old pal of mine had a call from his wife asking how to clean baby poo off his Custom Shop Strat... his boy was standing naked in front of it and did a projectile wet one all over it, even went under the pickguard. Clearly more of a Gibson kid.
