1.
If it was £100 cheaper I would come now and buy it...I've always wanted a black precision exactly like that - just out of my price range unfortunately!
Have a look at a Squier they should be in your price range anyhow back on topic GLWTS Mr Bikenbass
2. Yep the Baasdoc does make awesome guards I had one and was well pleased but if you want a cheap one that is OK try Dangleberry music online there guards are great for the price
3.
A back up for sale bump. It's not much to ask but It be would hugely appreciated if potential purchasers ensure that they have the means to pay.
FFS is a nightmare when that happens anyway I doubt this will hang about to long Gary
4. Or a dremel tool with the small cutter disk on and gently cut off the old screw head
5. Welcome to the forum I really like the look of that very nice bass indeed GLWTS
6. I would think that if the unit is metal you could drill it and put some little screws in and then use a bit of earth wire with eyes crimped to the ends and put it on say the top and bottom of the unit in the kind of way that they put an earth loop on a sink unit or radiator I should imagine something like that may work but hopefully some one a bit more clued up than me could tell you for sure
7. Ah cool cheers for that Gary much appreciated
8.
Made in Mexico J or P. Over £700 new, but can easily be picked up for £300 second hand on here.
+1 to this I love my MIM but try before you buy as there are some awesome ones and some dogs but that is true in any bass make IMO
9. I may be wrong but I think Paul S is looking for one of these
10. I know a few I learnt them without realising I was learning them I just kind of picked them up if that makes any kind of sense lol but I really don't know many to be honest I am crap enough on a bass without struggling to learn any thing else lol
11. Hi Guys This may seem a silly question so sorry in advance I am putting one of my basses in to "stealth mode" and I want to put a set of these plastic pick up covers on (link below) but what I want to know is will my pickups still work OK my pickups are the normal ones with 4 pole pieces showing thanks in advance http://www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Pickup-Plastic-Fender-Precision/dp/B00CWVWISW/ref=sr_1_43?ie=UTF8&qid=1396599236&sr=8-43&keywords=bass+pickup+covers
12. These are great basses for the money I have a pimped up one as a back up and Gary is a great guy to deal with GLWTS
13. Yep best stand aside and let the guy try and sell his pedal
14.
No idea why this is still here...
Logistics?
15.
OK, found the specs for the Seymour Duncan SPB3 on their website and the 'body' of each part of the pickup measures 2.25in x 1.09in. The corresponding Yamaha part is 2.20in x 1.09in, so pretty close - the SD is 0.05in (i.e. 1/20in) wider. These are external dimensions of course, so I still don't know whether the SD innards would fit in the Yamaha covers (or indeed whether SDs are that bit fatter than Fender originals on account of the chunky pole pieces). Also brought up the Bareknuckle specs. They give external dimensions of 88.50mm x 25.44mm, which must be wrong as it is 3.48in x 1.00in - I reckon the first figure should be 58.5mm, making the dimensions 2.30in x 1.00in. More usefully, the bobbin dimensions are given - less usefully, these seem wrong too!
Could Bare Knuckle or A N other make you something custom that would not cost the earth ?
16.
Thanks Marc, it is wonderful so why no interest????????????? I'm baffled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every one is skint Mike and this is a bargain GLWTS mate

18. How could you Gary? next you will be doing something really silly like playing drums or keyboard lol....but joking aside rather you than me I struggle enough with a bass let alone one of those baby's good luck mate and it looks like a very nice toy indeed
19. Well Mark you know how much I have been looking forward to this one and all I can think to say is just WOW it is obvious that a lot of skill and love has gone in to this restoration and it shows it is a beauty mate
20.
Why did I ever sell this?!
A moment of insanity?
21. Well just goes to show how skint people are nowadays this is another lovely bass that should not still be here and would of been snapped up in no time at all if not for the recession hope things improve soon and GLWTS
