1.
Nice video. You've got me wondering now if I bought the wrong saw. The thing is I want/need one that will cut down the neck, through the first fret, so I need to have a wide-ish blade. I also don't want to get into the £60+ price bracket, because I don't imagine I'm going to be doing this very often. At least, I hope not. Thanks for the good wishes
I am sure the one you bought will be just fine and dont forget the guy demonstrating on the video is a bespoke furniture maker so he will be a little anal about the saws but yours looks just fine
 2.
No, this one hasn't been on there yet, trying to avoid that one!
Yep avoid that like the plague with a bass costing this much the ebay fees will be a killer ....but on a positive note wow really stunning bass GLWTS
 3. These look well cool love the heavy distortion sound http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21ovdJJwjg0
 4. This thread made me laugh when I saw it as funnily enough I was saying to KIOgan earlier that I should take up this or the recorder as it would be cheaper than fiddling about with basses lol
 5.
Japanese saw ordered yesterday. Hopefully, if it's here at the weekend I'll see if I can part off the first fret of the FB and see what's gone on in there. This is what I've got coming: http://www.rutlands....-compact+jp1015
Bugger me £25 quid for a saw lol but joking aside I do hope you get it sorted those saws do look good though www.youtube....h?v=q0sI3VUeNyk
 6. I hope the pics show just how much time has gone into this project. erm no not really it looks sh*t like a 2 year old did it in pre school lol
 7.
Sounds like it could be a problem with the pickup earth, if the noise stops when you earth the pups off another metal part. If you replace your hand with a wire and run an earth from the pickup to the back of a pot it might cure it. Though I might be totally wrong, just an idea.
I did think of that may try it cheers
 8. Hi all I am having trouble with my bass being noisy I have just put a new wiring loom in it and re-shielded the cavities but I am getting like an annoying buzzy sound thet is really loud if I touch the pick ups which at first I thought was an earthing issue so I changed the bridge ground wire and I think the grounding is good as when I touch a string or another metal part of the bass at the same time as the pick up poles the noise goes so could my shielding be messing something up as in i touching the pots or jack socket thus causing the noise? thanks in advance
 9.
This now comes with a Kinsman hard/soft case and the price includes the case and shipping. THIS HAS GOT TO BE A BARGAIN.
Sure is a bargain and Mike is a top fella to deal with so some one buy this bass kinda bump

 21.
why thank you very kindly good sir it is rather nice i agree, just wish i could afford to keep it.
Wish I could afford to buy it
 22.
See I never get this bitsa thing. There was a 70's P on here not long back, probably the worst example of bitsa I've seen. 71 stamped neck, body dated to 76, not original pots or pups yet out at £1200+. To me, that is a bitsa and frankly I would rather spend half that on a modern well made bass that I do not have to worry about provenance/being made a tit off. I do that very well myself.
Well put I couldn't agree more
 23. Will give that a try cheers
 24. Does anybody know where I can get the tab for this awesome Extreme song please? I have tried a couple off the net but the just dont sound right Thanks in advance
