The vast majority of names mentioned in this thread were not banned (waynepunkdude and bass ferret certainly were). Most have, I guess, chosen to leave or take a break because life and priorities move on. A number of the named members did indeed leave in the (as was charmingly described) "mass dummy spitting event" in 2015. I was one of them and I will not rake over old coals. I rejoined after 4 years and enjoy spending my time on here.

@discreetwas always entertaining and also a fine bassist (I saw him play live with Pigbag maybe 10 years ago). I recall he did occasionally take breaks from BC and this may be another of those

I also quit for a few years for my own reasons (which I won't go into). But obviously I had to return at some point so I could resume losing money on buying and selling basses.

FYI, I was selling mine for £450 and it has a nearly mint set of TI flats on (ie, >£40 of new strings)
