  1. There's a clue in the name "Rebel bass"
  2. Back up due to herd thinning! Now even better value at £450 as the bass is wearing almost brand new TI flats (were on my R*ck for a week and then off again). Don't have a box at present so pickup/meet near SW13 (south of Hammersmith Bridge, in Barnes area) preferred. Or I will have to contrive some packaging in the coming week if post needed
  3. My two sausage dogs have just been for a walk in Richmond Park and eaten loads of rabbit poo. They are producing lots of little tommy squeakers. Thus concludes today's flatus update

Think yourself lucky Clarky, I stopped to talk to another dog walker earlier today whilst walking my (f***ing stupid) Labrador Buddy, only for my 8-year daughter to point out that Buddy was eating pooh pretty much as it came out of the other dog's a**e.....

  5. Very uncomfortable after treading on lego

Better than feeling rather lego after treading on uncomfortable.

  6. I would click on the seller's profile and send him a private message. Good luck to you both
  7. Selling this as taking a slightly different route on my board. Top quality JFET Preamp pedal based on the Ampeg SVT. Bought on BassChat maybe six months ago, used for a few hours at most and and not left the house. Excellent (9.5+/10) condition, no Velcro, in an unbranded white (original?) box. Price includes U.K. postage
  8. A * friend * had some success with telling his wife that he had lent the bass in question to a fellow bass player and that he had just returned it after a lengthy period. Cough
  9. I am playing blues/rock so the compressor is purely to keep things tidy, not to tame peaks for slapping etc.
  10. If I mention Ed Sheeran again, will that be the final straw?
  11. Released 2017 and by 2018 it had been streamed over 200 million times on Spotify
  12. Now this is offensive on more than one count
  13. Back in the day, when I was in death metal band Nyx, we supported the delightfully named Necrosadistic Goat Torture
  14. Apparently (30 second google part deux), burning celluloid smells like camphor. You can thank me later @Happy Jack (Meanwhile, GLWYS Nick. Doubt this will hang around for long)
  15. Yep the bassline on Block Rockin' Beats is a total lift from 23 Skidoo's Coup http://www.djdmac.com/blog/song-day-23-skidoo-coup/
  16. @Happy Jack apparently the laydeez like smelly candles for their birthdays (so I am told). Based on my extensive research (aka a 30 second google) I think this could work with a tort scratchplate also. Lucky, lucky @Silvia Bluejay
  17. Good job they specified " For parts or not working" or my $1k including taxes would have been sorely disappointed
  18. perfect for Blue Notes
  19. Nick bought a bunch of short scale strings from me and all was excellent. Cheers!
  20. I quit FaceBook a year or so back as it was just getting me down. However, at that time Nige was in my circle. Thoroughly lovely, principled guy
  21. Thanks chaps, reassuring that you both have same recommendation too. Much appreciated! Cheers Clarky
  22. Hi all I am setting up a mini pedal board with 4 pedals for upcoming blues/rock gigs: Broughton SV Preamp TC Spectracomp compressor TC Mojomojo overdrive Korg Pitchblack tuner Which order would you recommend these in the signal chain? Especially thinking of compressor (first?) and the overdrive (I want to set the SVP as core tone and use Mojomojo if I need to drive harder during songs). Thanks and sorry for numptiness
