I have found a box and I reckon its £10-15 to post within UK. So lets call its £290 including post and Meinl cajon bag plus I will throw in the amp connector cable - and remove cat hair from inside cajon bag (it was a cozy snoozing place for my mogs!) Or £515 including EA Micro 55oW amp, bag, and DI cable in addition to the above

Barefaced Retro One 10 in pretty good condition bar the famous copyrighted tolex peel on the rear. Comes with incredibly handy Meinl cajon bag for slinging over shoulder (cost me £40-odd). As well as regular electric bass use, it makes a great DB setup with the EA Micro 550 amp I am separately selling on the forum. Not sure about my ability to post so for now its collection from London SW13. Cheers!

I bought this incredibly light 550W 2 channel (1 each for electric and double bass) amp off guyl on the forum about 6 months ago. However I have decided to go the combo route for DB (incoming GK MB150S) so am moving this on. I paid £250 and then bought a Gator padded bag (£25) and a jack to DI cable (from memory about £10-15). I am after £275 plus a tenner for post if needed. Otherwise collect from London SW13. Very good condition as you can see from the pics. Cheers!

Example. Description for £3k plexi bass: "1969 Dan Armstrong Ampeg bass in Lucite comes with original hard shell case" Complete with blurry photos taken from 2-3 metres away in a dingy room. That said, he has more than 1000 positive feedbacks, so he must be doing something right! Or maybe we BassChat pedants like to have more detail than the general public?

This guy has a bunch of listings of potentially nice basses and they are all the same format. Distant photos, miniscule details.

Nearly new Spirocore Solo strings. I installed these on my EUB and they have had no more than a few hours use in the house. As solo strings, they are normally tuned A/E/B/F# but these are often used by Latin bass players (and by Miroslav Vitous) down-tuned to orchestral (ie E/A/D/G) as they become quite low tension (similar to Silver Slaps and lower than Spirocore Weichs). Close up pictures to come but for now a couple of pics of them on my EUB New these are about £190 from UK retailers or about £160 including post from Thomann. I am after £105 posted within UK.

Hi all. Our first gig since week before 2020 lockdown. This time in our blues rock incarnation with lots of blistering gutar solos. Double header with The Vampirettes (crypt kicking lady rockers)

A Tale of International Shipping

Wow. That's a whole lot worse than my unsatisfactory sale of an Alembic to a Belgian BCer, where Brussels customs held on to the bass for nearly a month. I (and the buyer) had to make multiple calls to UPS in the UK and Belgium and lastly to Brussels customs to speak to someone who - in the last case - was pretty much incapable of understanding English (cue my poor Franglais as I don't speak Belgian). All very frustrating and the amount of time expended and stress explains why its UK only sales only for me (unless the other party is prepared to deal with all the bureaucracy). -
Couple of deals recently with Paul. He bought some La Bella LTF strings off me and I bought a rather gorgeous P bass off him. All was excellent!

My OCD has a major problem with the siting of your amp not being equidistant from each side of the cab

£500 price drop, so moving closer to sensible territory (though not there yet) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154825170035?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110018%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.COMPLISTINGS%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20200818142838%26meid%3D1e1cb62d64f54d32b4f41ae338d2b1d1%26pid%3D101197%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D165313415946%26itm%3D154825170035%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DOrganicCompBase%26brand%3DRickenbacker&_trksid=p2047675.c101197.m1850 -

Intrigued by this, I checked out their Wiki page. Turns out they represented Germany in Eurovision and came in joint last place, albeit against strong competition from winners ABBA. A good read https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cindy_%26_Bert

The (sort of) attempted wrapped gut-like D and G strings of the RS4000 set, as played by Herbie Flowers on Walk on the Wild Side etc. Nylon wound on nylon, very low tension and - depending on your bass - may need to be double wound around tailpiece so that the silks don't encroach on the bridge (I had to for my old German 3/4). Stringsdirect sells for £92 for the pair, how about £42 posted in UK? Been on my bass for only a few hours, home only playing time.
