  1. Is the sunburst 73 P of interest to you @Reggaebass? https://www.atbguitars.com/store/product/1973-fender-precision-bass-1973pbass/
  2. Would also p/x (with money your way) against a lightweight early 70s Precision (1971-3) with rosewood neck. Yes, I know I just sold one 🙄
  3. One pickup version (bridge) but I bet it doesn't hang around https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Wal_MKII_4_Fretless.html
  4. Daphne blue I assume (gone a bit grey over time)? Nice but I reckon LPB beats it for bling
  5. "Roll up, roll up to Clarky's gear emporium!"
  6. Haha, long time (and I mean loooong) time no speak!!!! Yep, still a gear tart. And yep, still not very good at playing bass
  7. And when those blue snowflakes start fallin' That's when those blue memories start callin' You'll be doin' all right with your Christmas of white But I'll have a blue, blue, blue, (lake placid) blue Christmas
  8. They are passive. I had one and it was fabulous but, like the seller, moved away from short scale This gives an idea
  9. Voila: "Injection Molded ABS Plastic, plated in copper, nickel and real chrome, creates a stiff exoskeleton with a brilliant and durable finish." https://www.thetreblebezel.com/
  10. If you play a Rick you will know what these are. A drop in replacement for part of the bridge pickup assembly which allows you to (a) do away with the pretty but useless hand rest (b) do so without risk of your picking hand falling in to the sharp edged 'hole' surrounding the pickup and (c) while providing a neat built in thumb rest. I am only selling as I bought two, one with raised thumb rest, one with a thumb 'cove' (inset/hollow thumb rest). I prefer the latter. This was £46 new from Rickysounds, so £33 posted seems fair. PS, first 3 pics of the for sale item, pic number 4 is a stock photo to show how it looks in situ
  11. I knew immediately that (1) black P bass and (2) playing punk = @Lozz196 😀 Enjoy Lozz!!!!
  12. Greater love hath no man for a woman ... I have just sat through the first two episodes of the Sex in the City reboot. "And just like that" with Mrs C. This is not bass related but I felt the need to share my pain

Update (because I know you are all desperately interested):  I was obliged to spend a chunk of my Friday evening watching episode 3. Thoroughly enjoyable .... in that it was a fantastic hour spent surfing the web on my mobile phone.

  13. Back up with trade option (AVRI 62 Precision) and lower bargain price (£1500). Sale much preferred as I do already have several other basses .... but it looks like trades are easier at this time of year In response to a PM, I have all the amps/cabs etc I need, so the only trade is for an AVRI P bass (I would contribute some extra cash if a Fullerton early 80s, alternatively its a straight trade for a good condition light post Fullerton AVRI) PS, swapped strings again (I am an inveterate tinkerer) and the bass is now wearing D'Addario 45-100 nickel rounds.
  14. Very nice, don't often see black/tort combo. Might be worth adding wright before someone asks
  15. Update: my 4003 didn't sell on eBay (very few watchers) and has had no interest on FB market place (despite handy discount), so I am going to give it some more time and try to get used to the bass.
  16. Nice work Nick, looks great
  17. Safer to buy one of the more recent reissues (BCer Paul King has/had one). This is similar to the model played by Howlin Wolf, now sold as the K162, and played by some famous players, eg Sheryl Crowe (who makes it look enormous!)
  18. The one at Guitarguitar?
  19. Hi there its a Takamine TB10. An archtop acoustic/electric bass that can also be played on a stick. See this thread below
  20. 100% agreed on the scratchplate, looks fab
  21. Sorry!
