  1. Thanks! Looking for a new "forever home" (like that ever happens on BassChat, lol!)
  2. No flies on me
  3. I'll take that please ped. PMing you
  4. New price: £2,850 inc 2 day UPS delivery
  5. Genuinely surprised in the lack of interest given the rarity of this model in this particular colour scheme and it's great condition for a 22 y/o bass. Near offer anyone?
  6. Bump. Near offers considered
  7. Thanks, he is after a B neck though
  8. Back up FS with price reduction to get this beauty moved on. Funds needed (and my AVRI 62 Jazz is getting no interest), so no trades thanks
  9. Now wearing a brand new set of TI flats for sh*ts and gigs
  10. Very near offers considered
  11. Beauty, Luke. Well worth the wait!
  12. Cheering to read. Very best of luck Chowny/Retrovibe, hope its a roaring success
  13. The case
  14. Having recently acquired a fantastic Fullerton era AVRI 62RI Jazz I am reassessing what I realistically need. Hence putting this rare 1999 beast up for sale. It was near mint when I bought it (see pics in ad link from Pym antiques below). Pretty much the only signs of use are some minor sinking of the nitro finish around the neck plate and a couple of tiny nicks. From front on it looks a new bass. It weighs 9.25 pounds on my scales (without chrome covers) and plays super smoothly with D'Addario 45-100 nickel rounds. Comes with slightly scraped tweed case and all the case candy. Price now £1500 plus delivery via UPS, or can be collected from SW13, south of Hammersmith Bridge. Trade options: AVRI 62 Precision if 9 pounds or less. Or p/x for similarly light early 70s P with rosewood board, with cash your way. Pics here
  15. It would be the TI JF344 long scale set
  16. From a TB article: The CEO of Rickenbacker himself highly recommends TI's. He stated that they are very similar to the Electro flats that were the factory strings on the 4001 back in the 70's. Having played both, I strongly concur.
  17. Back in the day, a long time ago, when I had a Rick 4001, the afficionados on the Ricky forum waxed lyrical about how the TI Flats were perfect for the bass
  18. Bought a nice old mojo'd Shergold bass from Dunc. Excellent transaction. Only upsetting thing is to see the post immediately above was from the sadly-departed MB1 (RIP)
  19. I know someone who might be interested. Will ping him a message
  20. I just bought one of these from danweb22. Not had chance to fully explore its capabilities but early indications say it really delivers that 70s SVT sound with a nice gradient to the breakup using gain
  21. Better?
  22. Old school spiral bridge saddles so the string spacing can be adjusted
  23. And with my A width neck 71 Precision
