1.
Hondo 2.
2. Not sure anyone mention Peter hook?
3. I hope you stick a noise gate/reducer on the end of it...the noise and hiss would get on my tits lol
4. Typically stick it at the front of the chain..
5. Agreed. Bargain alert!!!
6. It's painful looking for any sort of outside musician... Cos they don't know how u play. *sigh*
7. Just set the threshold of the gate to activate at the desired level. It will open (let sound through) when you are playing but as soon as the sound level drops below this threshold, it will stop noise coming though. This stops the squealing and feedback etc.
8. Yeah I suppose that is what I mean...if there are other effect rich instruments being played at same time, the bass will sound messy. Also, what's the deal with flange/delay on bass? Never really understood that... Octave and od/dist fine but delay/flange?? Won't even sound like bass...just incoherent noise
9. Tuner, overdrive, octave, maybe noise gate(if playing loud, it squeals like pig lol) That's what I would suggest for now.. Dunno about chorus...anyone?
10.
Sorry, didn't mean to be cryptic. I meant, that I thought the guy who asked for the pic and said "pimp" was being humorous and the OP snapped at him (I thought) a bit harshly. I was expressing my support for him by saying "Team Asian looking guy" - meaning I am on his team or on his side in this particular instance. It's a popular way for these young people nowadays to express their support for one side of a debate ..... like "Team Andre" or "Team Katie" etc. I thought he looked a Asian - might not be Asian at all. I was being humorous also. And before any PC weirdos wade in - being or looking Asian is, in itself neither good or bad. Phew.
This. Also, the chain of posts may seem bizarre as there was an 'infringing' post that was deleted by OP. you see?
11.
....and calling me a pimp is suppose?
If you read the posts leading up to that moment, would you consider that an inaccurate accusation? Or am I missing something here??
12. Appearance is irrelevant, that was uncouth and uncalled for.
13. "we got you in to sing. do your job or f**k off"
14. Depends how good or bad the synth sounds... The octave should technically duplicate it either an octave or two below the played note So if your synth sounds crap...expect the octave to sound crap too...an octave or so lower haha.
15. I would simply run an octave with some overdrive Maybe a 60/40 blend to octave.
16. I've got both polytune and TU3 Both great tuners..love them both so I would choose either. Both built like tanks and accurate. Both track very well and I can safely say I won't need to ever buy a tuner now!
17.
might be worth running it behind a compressor if you can just to smooth the signal a bit (this is just my thinking i may be talking bollocks)
This does work. By boosting the signal, the OC can 'hear' it better
18. I've got GR5 on my main machine, love it. Simple to use and is literally plug and play. Very little wires and messing to get a good sound. Fun to mess and experiment with.
