1.
And there is a very nice looking bass for sale in the DB section, a Michael Poller, for £650. Personally I'd snap that one up.
+++1 Ususally second hand instuments have had most issues sorted and you get more for your money. Plus, Leeds is closer to you than York
2. Music theory is quite a big and deep subject. I'd search out online music theory websites and start there. You'll need to gain an understanding of keys and key signatures, scales and how they are built with modes, relative major and minor relationships, progressions etc... There look to be quite a few resources online to help with this.
3.
Mine works very well on a plug in, play and forget basis.
+1 I tried something for the firstime on a bluegrass gig this past weekend. Duke bass with a Lifeline running straight into an AI Focus. I only tweaked the HPF to tame the Fearless F112 and it sounded great. So easy not having to faf with an extra preamp. Still wish the Lifeline had a little more trebble to it like a FC but not a deal breaker.
4. Hi, do you have some more shots of the back of the heal where the screw holes are? pm'd
5.
Any one tried theirs yet, I would like some starter settings to get me going????
You probably just want to play around with it until you find what works best for you. When I use it, the vol is usually max and the HPF gets rolled back until the sound tightens and then I sometimes roll it up again a little from there.
6. Maybe you could post pics of the heads. Sometimes they look like bass guitar ones when they might not actually be. If they are, then it's probably worth investing in something well made. Also, lets see some pics of the bass too . I've always wanted a Bespoke but was never in a position to buy when they rarely came up.
7. I did a bass swap deal with Julian. He's a great chap the deal went seamlesly. Thanks again for the easy transaction.
8. That is a great bass, real solid sound across the board. Enjoy
9. Theo sold me his Bearfoot Blueberry. I'd been wanting one for ages and managed to buy his. Great comms throughout, the pedal arrive promptly and as described. Thanks again for the dark overdrive goodness.
10. I've replaced a 3-way 212 cab with a 3 way Fearless F112. It can pump out some serious sound and I've filled some rooms without PA support that I didn't think possible. The only caveat is you need a powerful amp, something like an GK MB800. I've toyed with getting a second made but haven't found the need yet.
11. I couldn't get on with the One 10 on DB. Too dark and not enough detail.
12. I used to use a Mesa Walkabout 12. Now I use seperate amp and speaker.

I like pie charts instead
15. You might have to pull some strings to make that happen....
16.
a mini VT1...... yet another good idea, thanks
+1 I use a Bob the Blender as just a valve stage at the beginning of the chain. A smaller version would be great. I like the orange paint schemes but not so much the white ones. Also, I noticed the boost switch on the pedal reacts differently with different basses. One bass will be smooth and warm with the boost off and a little harsher and firmer with it on, and another bass will react opposite with it being harsher with the boost off and warmer with it on. What might cause that?
17. How is the balance on this bass? Is it neck heavy at all?
18. Buy Beedster's Clarkson EUB. If I were nearer to him I would have bought that for quiet practice and better transport. At £200-250, what a deal
19. I got my clone from Dan too. He does nice work.
