1. The Cure... Love the first bunch of albums. Later stuff not so much. Simon Gallup is a very under rated bass player. His Schecter Ultra bass is cool as...
2. Brilliant. Just saved 20% Thank you
3. First practice last night. Set the eq up as Orange suggests on it's website for Rock/Punk, turned the compressor up to 12 o'clock, plugged all my pedals in and turned it up to what would roughly 2. This is by far the loudest amp I have ever owned, it's mental. I should of bought the 300 watt (never going happen lol). I didn't get chance to fiddle with the eq and didn't need to tweak any of the controls on my bass... now that is a real first. Bite, punch, clarity... It just works, to the point where I wasn't thinking about my sound. Last amp that did that was my Trace Elliot 1225v back in the early nineties. If you get the chance try one. I'm very impressed.
4. siouxsie and the banshees. I'm currently devouring the back catalogue.
5. I've just bought a 500. It has a certain bite to it's sound that appeals. I've yet to use it with my band but first impressions are promising. It's also unbelievably loud.
6. With and with case options now available. Would consider trade for GK Fusion 550 or Orange 4 Stroke 500
7. Great sound, vids cool as well. I'll have to try and catch your live set... we move in the same circles.
8. All messages replied too... still for sale.
9. My ABM600 is very loud through my Four10. I expect the HOD to be at least as brutal.
10. Wow. That looks brilliant.
11. Hartlepool... up North.
12. The black one looks great... in fact, it looks exactly the same as my Yamaha BB734A. If the neck is 38mm, it may end up being my first ever Fender.
13. I was hoping that is what you thought. I'm now on the look out. Lol
14. Can't help with the bolt on, sorry. But are you saying the 3000s is 38mm at the nut? That's different to the standard BB3000.
15. 10 years for that reply... that's some thought process.
16. 1984. Nice bass
17. I'll take it. Pm on way
18. Gave the Spitfire a blast tonight with my band. I'm impressed. Through my ABM600 with everything off using just the Spitfire Pre Amp as the control, tight, punchy with a bit of bite. It fit right in... well built and looks great too. Top job, thanks DHA
19.
Can heartily recommend: Eat 'em and Smile - Dave Lee Roth First 2 Mr Big albums Both Winery Dogs albums
I agree.
20. You need to try an ABM EVO IV 600 and take it from that point. I've had a CTM100, ABM EVO 111 and a Retroglide. The EVO IV is by far the most flexible and the graphic is excellent. It's also very very loud. I'm also very interested in the new head but need to hear it getting thrashed before I make my mind up
21. Dear God! I bet you thought you looked the bees knees back in the day. Awesome photo.
22. I need to hear this head getting a good work out.
23.
Just to clarify Geezer hasn't died....or to a lesser extent even retired....so there's a good chance he wants tone he's happy with going forwards... Then 'Get the DOOM tone by writing DOOM on the amp.' Kind of... the Doom is in the amp at all times, each amp will be pre loaded with the correct Geezer approved amount of doom before shipping(the most dangerous part of the amp build), then the doom control just varies the overall level of doom.
Lol! Awesome.
24. It looks deeper than my EVO iv, maybe 3u? Something different must be lurking inside.
