  1. I've gone back to using a passive bass, I was always fiddling with the eq settings on my 3 band. Now I just have thud to bite... normally called a tone control. Keep it simple, Schecter Ultra Spitfire Bass with EMG hz pickups.
  2. That was the first bass guitar I owned back in the early eighties .... I don't remember a lot about it which must say something.
  3. That looks like a BB3000s. Knobs not toggles
  4. The LT neck sounds interesting, I wonder what they have done to it.
  5. The Twilight Sad. It won/t be like this all the time.
  6. Horrible. It's looks like a very expensive accident waiting to happen.
  7. Trace Elliot T Bass 5 string. Beautifully built... totally soulless.
  8. No issue, I have one of the first 734as' that landed in the UK and it's only a second battery. Are you leaving it plugged in over night?
  9. Yes, mine was loud unplugged and light too. Fantastic bass!
  10. Looking good. BB3000... You just need to pick one up to know it's at the top of tree for quality. By far the best built bass I have ever owned. Is the neck on your bass very shallow, mine was super slim but wide.
  11. I sold my ABM600 to buy a 4Stroke 500. The ABM is a great amp but I preferred the voicing, clarity and simplicity of the Orange.
  12. I've used the D.I. several times, it does it's job with no complaints. The Compressor 'sort of' is the gain. It 'plumps' the sound up... it's very clean without the compression engaged and gets more rounded/fatter as you wind it up. Try one, they're great! I'd definitely start with the 300watt. The 500watt is ridiculous and the compression pushes it further... I think the 300w are £329 at the moment. I can't think of anything new for that money that can touch it. I guess if it had Mesa Boogie or the like on the front it be all over the the internet.
  13. That's interesting. Hopefully it will help to keep the price down if Yamaha are using the standard BP34 neck and body. Fingers crossed.
