  1. That is cool and the perfect spec for me. Wow, what can I sell...
  2. Orange 4 Stroke 500w head, a very versatile and powerful head. Good condition, always kept in SKB case (included) comes with original box and power lead. £... collected Hartlepool. Possibly deliver in the North & Scotland.
  3. For some reason that made me think of a BC Rich.
  4. Honestly Warwick, Gnome? Go and punch yourself in the face.
  5. Cool. I like how you sounds and the expression pedal option is handy. Price is a touch salty for my taste unfortunately.

  7. I have the EMG pickups in my Ultra Bass. They sound great live with a band. They just seem to fit in with whatever I'm playing.
  8. I've owned a 1225v since the early 90s, this m9 reminds me of that. I haven't used it with a band yet but it has that same weight and quality to the sound.
  9. Definitely as good as or better than a trace head.
  10. Expensive. Plug in, adjust the gain to taste, pick a voice and that's it. You don't really need to anything else. It reminds me of the Ashdown CTM 100 I used to own, the sound is top quality.
  11. I told the wife I saved 'us' nearly £1.5k by buying it... Well, it works for her when it comes to shoes and handbags.
  12. Well, this turned out to be an expensive thread...
  13. SB900, one of, if not the best bass I played in the 90s. Never got to own one but it had a fantastic neck. I haven't seen one for years. Great buy.
  14. Wow, that was actually very interesting. Some of those basses sounded like they couldn't punch a hole through a wet paper bag. I'm guessing they would be lost in the live mix without some serious eq or space. Sandburg, Gibson, Pedulla and the single coil Fedora sounded good to me.
  15. This is how I had my amp set up, at the time I think I was using a ridiculously powerful Spector...
  16. I had an early Star Bass with the 34" scale. It was great, they feed back like mad if you play loud but look very cool...
  17. I sent my old one back to Ashdown as some thing in the head became loose and it lost a massive amount of volume. It came back very quickly, fully repaired for free and was definitely loud. I then bought a IV, that was louder still... Give Ashdown a bell, they're very helpful.... probably in the New Year as I'm guessing they will on the razzle this time of year.
  18. Sounds like my old Thumb neck. Could be tempted.
