1. Rare Trace Elliot 1225v combo. 200watts 2x10 2x5, the fives need replacing or fixing as they have split cones. I've owned this from new and it's seen many gigs and has the scars to prove. Hasn't been used for some time, collection only from Hartlepool.
2. Lovely bit of kit, well built, solid and very simple to use. They have a very clean sound that is easy to tweak. I think they are a bit of a bargain £379 I had one but sent it back as it was too clean for me and wasn't loud enough at 8ohm. It didn't sound like your normal Ashdown... still very cool though. Bought an EVO 4 to replace it. Would I have another? Yes, but not for this band.
3. I wonder why the price difference between bb2024 and bb34 is so great? Both made in Japan.
4. They haven't even landed yet and GAK are already discounting them. MIJ 1200 notes... that's some deal.
5. I really enjoyed it through my beer goggles. It's the Foo Fighter, it's what they do. The BBC presenters... I'm quite surprised that I could understand what they were saying as both had heads firmly stuck up the back side of any band playing... embarrassing.
6. Hooky hinting at a signature model on Twitter. Ooh..
7. That's cool.
8. Any news?... Any spotted in the UK?
9.
I too don't get this 'famous player' increasing the value of an instrument thing. If a guitar/bass is good, it is good. Does it really matter who played it before you got your hands on it? If funding were not a problem, I would get a top notch guitar and a similar bass. The guitar could be a '59 Les Paul or an R9 built recently. The only requirements being it is a good guitar, nice player and not too heavy. And absolutely not neck heavy!!!! If it were the '59 LP, it is a fact that several owners/players had it since then. A good instrument is a good instrument.
This thread isn't for you.
10. I went to see The Mission last night in Newcastle... Craig was using a TC Electronic BH800. It was sat on top of large rack unit and an Ampeg cab... not what I was expecting. The sound was okay and Craig was rock solid. It didn't look very rock n roll but I don't suppose the rest of the audience noticed.

Just to make this clear... It is a bargain. Buy it. Thank you

Just buy it. It's a bargain. I've been using one for the last few months. It's very flexible, it sounds good and it's very well built. £55? It's funk all in the current grand scheme of amazingly over priced pedals...
14. Cheers for the reply. That sounds very positive, I'm looking forward to having a go once they land in the UK. Love to get my mitts on a BB1200s as well, my made in Japan BB300 is proving to be an incredible bass for the money. I can only imagine the 1200s to be even better.
15. I'd like to know what Peter Hook thinks of the new bass as he always brings the BB1200S to the picture. Yamaha should just reissue that as a special edition.
16. The SVT200 is an excellent solid state head. From what I understand it was only made for a short time, then replaced by possibly the SVT350... not as good. I was looking for one for quite some time, still haven't bought one but it's definitely still on my list. Simon Gallup still uses 2 of these heads with The Cure, that's some lifespan for a amp that built in the late 80s early 90s.
17. Bassdirect are offering big discounts on the 20 series.
18. Still for sale and still in the box - reduced £49
19. I've just picked up an early Yamaha BB 300 Made In Japan. It has a very comfortable neck, not as wide as BB3000, maybe 40mm at most. It sounds fantastic.
20. Blimey. That's a stunner. Funnily enough. Spent most of last night listening to Japan.
21.
Just travelled 140 miles to purchase a Spector gig bag listed on Bass Directs website. Got there only to be told very rudely "not had them in 3 months" So why are they available to purchase via the website. I stood awkwardly while Marcus & assistant tit tattled about when one was last sold like children. Frankly Marcus seems like a very spoilt, downright rude person who has no people skills, no idea how to treat customers and has no idea how to run a business or a website. I highly recommend taking your money elsewhere, especially if you're looking to buy a new instrument. The Gallery in Camden or Bass Gear are both very friendly and will offer you a brew and a chat. Marcus will offer nothing but awkward silences and rude remarks.
Phone first... it's a 140 mile drive. That way you wouldn't have to put up sales people who on the face of have no sales skills.
