  1. Following my recent M9 purchase, I'd really like to try the WD 800 to see how it compares. The price is what it is, Mesa bass gear is few and far between over here, the last time I can remember seeing one is at the Mayfair in Newcastle around the late 80s. I'm guessing the volume of bass product they produce isn't as large as people think, it's a limited market.
  2. I use an Ashdown Tour Bus 10. It has Mp3 in, headphones in and sounds good. It also does the job as a practice combo without the headphones but does sound cheap, which it is. Certainly worth a look.
  3. Good. I wouldn't be surprised if a few other manufacturers get pulled as well.
  4. £... including SKB case type bump.
  5. I hope he's more interesting than his brother... Honda.
  6. I loved that bass. It was a bit of test rig for the Attitude bass that followed and one of the reasons I now own a pink bass.
  7. That is cool and the perfect spec for me. Wow, what can I sell...
  8. Orange 4 Stroke 500w head, a very versatile and powerful head. Good condition, always kept in SKB case (included) comes with original box and power lead. £... collected Hartlepool. Possibly deliver in the North & Scotland.
  9. Batmobile .... I'll get my coat.
  10. For some reason that made me think of a BC Rich.
  11. Honestly Warwick, Gnome? Go and punch yourself in the face.
  12. That is awesome.
  13. Cool. I like how you sounds and the expression pedal option is handy. Price is a touch salty for my taste unfortunately.
  14. Cool. I like that.
  15. I have the EMG pickups in my Ultra Bass. They sound great live with a band. They just seem to fit in with whatever I'm playing.
  16. I've owned a 1225v since the early 90s, this m9 reminds me of that. I haven't used it with a band yet but it has that same weight and quality to the sound.
  17. Definitely as good as or better than a trace head.
  18. Expensive. Plug in, adjust the gain to taste, pick a voice and that's it. You don't really need to anything else. It reminds me of the Ashdown CTM 100 I used to own, the sound is top quality.
  19. I told the wife I saved 'us' nearly £1.5k by buying it... Well, it works for her when it comes to shoes and handbags.
  20. Well, this turned out to be an expensive thread...
  21. SB900, one of, if not the best bass I played in the 90s. Never got to own one but it had a fantastic neck. I haven't seen one for years. Great buy.
  22. Wow, that was actually very interesting. Some of those basses sounded like they couldn't punch a hole through a wet paper bag. I'm guessing they would be lost in the live mix without some serious eq or space. Sandburg, Gibson, Pedulla and the single coil Fedora sounded good to me.
  23. This is how I had my amp set up, at the time I think I was using a ridiculously powerful Spector...
