  1. I think you're going to find it easy enough to cope. I went for a period of some years with only one bass ...no problems at all. In fact, I've recently downgraded from three to two as I don't like extra instruments laying around that don't get much playing time. I could never be a collector 😉
  2. I've said it before and shall say it once again: If you want a really good Fender then don't buy a Fender.
  3. So sad to hear this, Gentle Giant are prog legends and Ray was a wonderful musician 😢
  4. With respect I think your analysis is much too simplistic. In any case, let's maintain a relative state of grace and accept a great many members are bound to have differing opinions on this: Peace ✌️❤️

  7. Ah, Brexit...the gift that just keeps on taking.
  8. https://bassbros.co.uk/product/1987-jaydee-supernatural-series-3/ Bass bros are absolutely killing it right now!
  9. Hmm, for me 1987. Gig at a large privately owned manor house in the Scottish Highlands. Afternoon setup and soundcheck went well then we returned later to discover a complimentary bucket of punch laid on for us in the kitchen. This was not good. Let's just say the performance started badly in front of a large crowd of landed gentry in full Highland attire and culminated halfway through our third number when our drummer fell from his stool unconscious into a drunken stupor ... Happy days. It's all part of growing up.
  10. For me the best Jazz basses on the market for reasonable money. Completely different level than anything with 'F' on the headstock for sure.
  11. I'd be gobsmacked if that sees the hour out...
  12. Yup, definitely a Spoiler. Persuader's are identical however, sport a PJ pup configuration. Lovely instrument good luck.
  13. I like the black guard best🙂
  14. You have my sympathy as I know exactly what it's like: I've been gigging with back problems for fifteen years now. As others have said my gear is as light and compact as possible and I'm very careful, i.e. I consider most movements in advance. Having become well acquainted with the unique quirks of the nature of my own problems I have a full range of stretches and exercises and when I have 'an episode ' I have a couple of go to gurus who get me back on track.
  15. Great chops and lovely tone bro😎
