  1. It seems that way right now, however, I'd be very interested in hearing yours if you take the plunge. Good luck!
  2. No, sadly not. Would love to know where it went and how it's getting on.
  3. They're white trousers lol. C'mon, it was the 80's!
  4. It was acceptable in the 80's (don't sing it🤣)
  5. Had been putting off clearing out my loft for the past decade or so: Finally got around to it yesterday and stumbled upon a dusty old envelope stuck in the eaves containing some pictures. Bought it new in 1985 on the never-never ... eventually swapped it for a Jaydee Supernatural. It's so strange looking back at the good ol days☺️
  6. I know where the OP is coming from. I bought a Wal Custom on HP in 1985 (£750) - traded my Rickenbacker 4001 for it (£300). I was a nifty player - but recall never feeling good enough for the Wal!
  7. I think it's entirely dependent upon the context: the material you're playing. Simply put, some musical styles tend towards more space for individual expression than others. I think it's key to consider what the listener might want to hear, as opposed to what the musician necessarily wants to play.
  8. I've been a subscriber to Doug's channel for a couple of years... excellent stuff! He does some great videos on Rush, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath too.
  9. Well, all I've had from BD (Mark) is endless compliments on my Vigier Passion...
  10. I recall hearing 'Breadfan' in a pals bedroom for the first time and being blown away... Great vocals and bass player. I'm sad 😭
  11. I feel even more priveliged now to own an Enfield Lionheart. Best bass I've ever owned and it will never be sold. Big shout-out to Martin. One of the best in the business and his builds will be sadly missed!
  12. Wow, those wood combos really'pop'... Love the Yew! Nice work🙂
  13. Corker! Similar to mine... The only non-handmade basses that I've found that look, feel and touch handmade. Congratulations.
  14. The ultimate fretless basses imo. Realistic price too. That said, too rich for me ... This'll be gone soon anyway 😎
  15. I'm following this too: interesting builds. How is the Yew to work? As a furniture maker I was always warned to avoid it!
  16. Congratulations, P bass on steroids. I'd love one... One day!
