  1. it is intriguing
  2. agreed, these are mighty fine amps. I love mine, especially with the merest hint of drive on it GLWTS
  3. did the bass job go to someone else?
  4. I've just got to the point when Verity gives in. So far an excellent read which could only ever have been written by someone who has done a lot of gigs in covers bands. Good work @Dave Vader
  5. I had a Hartke HA-3500 for sale and Nathan asked how much the courier would cost. We did the deal and he paid immediately. Perfect, great comms too. Deal with confidence
  6. @hiram.k.hackenbacker could you forward that email to me please as I have one of the first batch of F;ea sigs too (although it's seems to be fine) I had a Trussrod failure on a WHUFC Steve Harris bass but that was in warranty and was replaced with no problem
  7. It's actually sold now subject to the usual
  8. I have for sale my old Hartke head. This is a later one in the factory fitted rack mount sleeve. This was my main gigging amp until I bought my Ampeg and since then has been kept in my studio and used for practice. Now I have switched to Ashdown the Ampeg has become the spare (everything is now light weight) This amp must be about 9-10 years old, works perfectly, valve pre-amp offers warmth to your tone. Built in compressor, DI out, FX loop. ground lift. A few scuffs in the tolex but never abused, only loaded in and out of the car, no damp and rattly vans for my gear. Anyway I only want £100. It's a bargain and I can courier it too.
  9. I have had speakon issues in the past too. My ampeg would cut out and then work. One gig I had 2 cabs plugged in a one was cutting out. I changed speaker cables to jack to jack and have not had the problem since. I put it down to the speakon connector
  10. may I enquire who the band is? You have a very organised way of work there. When I have to learn stuff, I make a playlist and have it in the car, on my PC and listen to it massively. I learnt 30 Jam songs in 2 weeks once When is the audition? The Capo software looks interesting
  11. it's amazing really, we've probably been to each others gigs at some point
  12. I lived in st margs most of my life, been in Deal nearly 4 years. I havent tried the frog n scot yet. Deal has certainly changed in the past few years, with all the DFLs but it has brought a raft of new bars and 'I saw you coming' shops lol.
  13. strangely not playing friday or saturday but there is bound to be something on at Cin Cins. (depending when you were last about it may have changed it's name) The Stag in Walmer will have something (glam rock band, not seen them yet) Bound to be something cool at The Lighthouse (was the Lord Nelson) How long since you left the mighty Deal?
  14. welcome, I live in Deal too!!
  15. It's a mighty fine bass, from Mr Bravewood. He is a massive Sting fan too
  16. If I may just post this in here It also has the same pickup that Sting uses
  17. yep, it's all I used for two years, I did about 80 gigs on it and I love it. I'm not playing much bass these days but I have it in my office and had a noddle on it last night before I went home. Lovely bass
  18. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-FSR-Special-Edition-Limited-70s-P-Bass-Natural-Maple/173268753115?epid=20014464213&hash=item28579f5adb:g:H~0AAOSwA-NbxyAt:rk:47:pf:0 in Essex
  19. My brother was right handed, but he bowled left arm. Never made sense to me. Some right handed batsman bat left handed, some learned to do this because their hero was a lefty (can't remember who it is). If you're right handed and bat right handed, your dominant hand can make the bat 'scoop' the ball in the air but if you bat the other way (oo er) your dominant hand keeps the bat 'down' and so the chance of skying the ball is much reduced
  20. My mates Jam tribute does Peaky Blinders and says it's great
  21. Rootmaster 500 evo II for me. My first Ashdown amp and I love it. Very light at 2.5 kg. As far as I've seen their customer service is second to none too.
  22. check what equipment the venue has first. Which venue btw? (I was up there recently)
  23. agreed, NEVER offer her any more work, even if it's last minute
  24. He was once thrown out of his flat by his 'Landlord' and the 'Fall Out' from that is his girlfriend, 'Roxanne' left him which left his bed being to big without her, but undeterred and living on 'Peanuts' he told another girl, 'Sally' that he was 'Hungry for you'. Sally said he had a 'Deathwish' but she had him ;wrapped around her finger'. Sting said it would be ok 'on any other day' as he gazed into 'visions of the night'
