  1. how can it feedback, have you lots of overdrive on it?
  2. I had a rick copy, with musicman style pickups, it was really good. Sold it because I wasn't in a Jam tribute anymore (I helped my mates out and bought it because it looked good) I also had a prototpye neck and body, in sparkly silver, that I put a P bass set up on. Made of basswood, very light. Played and sounded great David does a great job
  3. What a great idea. I do that anyway but not for that reason You learn something new everyday
  4. There are so many out there. And not always who you think Ive had the misfortune to have gigged with 1 who was convicted. Another that committed suicide when found out and another who is under investigation. I had an older neighbour too, he was a photographer and was about to go to court but he then committed suicide too. My wife had his card marked from day one.
  5. I once had an EB0. I'd forgotten about that one Did a few gigs with it but I still didn't quite understand about basses. I'd love to try it now with my current set up. I bet it would sound marvellous
  6. My JMJ has the same profile as my '73 precision. I've never played another precision with this neck profile but it is wonderful. I've gone short scale because of shoulder problems and I love my JMJ. I still gig long scale occasionally
  7. The Ashdown founder was actually the Trace Elliot founder More love for Ashdown from me too. I have the RM500 EVO II. Love it to bits
  8. yep, lots of love for short scales here My main is JMJ Mustang but I also have two hofner violin basses now I started on short scale basses in 1981 and bought my first Violin bass in 2012. They are now my main instruments lighter, easy to play as they are shorter and the athritis likes them too
  9. wow a custom shop one, bet that was a few quid!! I would play it it with a pick probably, if I go that way
  10. I watched it. It was quite enjoyable. I liked the background music. The characters were good too. People who write this stuff dont understand the music industry so I take it for what it is. All in all we enjoyed it
  11. no mate, that's just normal!!
  12. IIRC the victim would have been given a large payout from the newspaper for a conviction. I think this was also a reason the judge cited for throwing the case out. Either way he's a disgrace and despicable
  13. I supported the Glitter band in about 1988/89. They were superb
  14. Me too lol Don't like the antiga one they've released. Dont like blocks on maple
  15. very nice, very george benson, lovely feel too
  16. the music and concept was great he is an evil man and as someone has already said, hiding in plain sight despicable
  17. ah I see. The holes are in the f/board and the neck, (in the words of Dave Lamb) CLEVER I've heard of people drilling tiny holes through the fingerboard to the neck and using those as locating holes (under the dot markers I think)
  18. @Andyjr1515 how do you know the fingerboard will go back the exact correct place please (I have a cheap Vintage Geoff Whitehorn signature guitar that the truss rod socket is knacked and I would like to change the truss rod myself, without breaking the bank. It's a biflex rod btw) cheers
