yep my wife has a PB70, it was white but is now a sort of yellow colour. A fine instrument and her first P bass. I had a fretless maple/natural one too They sometimes come up here for sale too -
this is the song that helped me learn walking bass lines, a real fav of mine too

Refinished many years ago and nicely played in, owned now for 33 years and used on thousands of my gigs '81 P bass special, almost mint this one

mine did too, Schaller 3D bridge on mine for past 30 years (bridge on a bitsa) -
everyone who has a JMJ loves it. I had a 2 day rehearsal with mine last week and everybody loved the sound Best neck on a bass since my '73 P. It's the same profile but being shorter scale makes it better A great choice Frank

I had a 1965 JTM 45. Paid 100 quid for it in about 1987 from a little shop that didn't know ant better. Sold it to finance a holiday to Zimbabwe in 1992 for £400. Shame that worse I had a Marshall super fuzz pedal, that I threw away. It was crap. Google it...............worth thousands now

I also had one, actually I think I've had 2, but the first one may have been a 50 watter I used the 2nd one as a guitar amp, with a marshall power break. Great sounding guitar amp but I swapped it for a Gibson SG JR 17 years ago. (The junior is 1967, so not a bad swap)

My brother's Italian band supported Maiden when Bruce first joined. Steve was using Hiwatt amps and cabs in those days. My brother complimented Steve on his bass sound and Steve was very flattered.

so I gigged twice over the weekend, with the Lekato and it was mighty fine, except (this is operator error BTW), I do a bit of 'violining' with the volume knob on my guitar and I managed to knock the transmitter in just the wrong place and managed to switch it off. I am now aware of this ham fisted thing I do and was more careful for the rest of the set. I gigged it with my duo and my full band, where no one else is wireless. (except my vocal mic which is channel 38 anyway). I was never more than 2 metres from the receiver which was plugged into my vox tonelab thing on the floor in front of me.

I would try and get hold of second hand, QSC K12s. You do see pairs of them for about a grand. I've had mine 10 yers now and they're awesome

well I tried it last night and it sounded very similar to using a lead. Wandered around the house a bit, it cut out when I went 2 rooms away and came back in when I got a bit closer. All good really as I'm not going wandering when I gig. I'll try it saturday night for proper gig

summer of 69 always goes down well at the end. Play it with conviction. This is the same with all songs IMO. I've played most of that set list and they are all well received. You need to own it. Have fun and it rubs off on the audience

so I've plumped for a lekato at 47 quid on amazon. Cheaper than saturday afternoon when it was 59 quid I'm going to try it for my 80s duo. I get tangled up every time I pick up or put the guitar down (I dont play on every song) I'll be stood right next to the receiver at all times, so we'll see what happens. If it's no good, I'll send it back

me too. Bass, lead, amp. clip on tuner new band starts today though and there is talk of us all going IEM, so then it will be Tech21 di pedal instead of amp

that was great. I remember playing clubs like those in the late 80s -
it does work great. It keeps the left hand in the right position. Mine felt like I was a little trussed up when I got a bit fatter. Great tone too Nice score

I was in a pub band that had a 30 year tenure. For the first 10 years 4 out of 5 were original. By the time the last original member stepped down (he passed away shortly after from cancer) the lead guitarist had been there 20 years. We carried on for a bit and then the original singer rejoined (he was in his 70s at this point). It still had the same values that it had always had. To entertain, look good, sound good etc -
well I tried it with a bass and it sounded like my ac30. Not great for bass. Not enough EQ to make it sound fat. Just middly really

I'm 42 years in now. Started with a Kay bass, next Fender Musicmaster, Manson Explorer, Aria SBR150, Vox White shadow Fretless, Aria XRB then Fender Precision. Bought my main bass, a '73 in 1990. Still have it plus a few more precisions and a Mustang. Been through all sorts, Jaydee, Spector, Musicman, Rickys, Status, Steinberger, Hofner always back to Fender. Mustang mainly, due to neck/back issues, but I always bring a P bass as a spare
