    Just resurrecting this thread - a year later how do the SY-200 users still feel about it? Are you’d still using it live? Did you end up selling it for something else? It seems like the device I need at the moment for copping a few 80’s synth lines on covers gigs, I want to see if I can be talked out of it.

    Hi Richard R, I'm a longtime user of various GK stuff with bass and as BigRedX has said it has its limitations. Hardware like the VB-99/SY1K and GR-55 (and probably the original VBass - although I've never tried it!) have staggering potential though.     I’ve just finished doing this mod and can tell you the three positions are: 1/ LED clipping - this is the stock clipping in the ODB-3. (Two red LED’s) 2/ middle position - lifts the LED and the standard diode. Leaving the single red LED doing the job of clipping. 3/ standard diode - less volume but richer sound.(red LED plus diode) Hope that helps

    Mine arrived today, only had a chance to play with it briefly. I’m really liking the EQ section, adds a wonderful sheen. Need to experiment more with the drive - updates to follow.

    I was 11 when I did my first gig. I was in a band with some much older lads and they played at the local community centre. I definitely looked pretty cool getting my Mum to pick me, my Aria Pro 2 and my Carlsbro amp up at the end - Rock and Roll!

    I believe so, the ‘loop/single” button is where you’d select that function.

    Lloyd bought a pair of Barefaced ONE10’s from me. Top man, paid in full two weeks before collecting them. Had a nice chat whist he demoed them and he was on his way. Perfect Basschat sale.

    Harry came round to me and picked up a Squier James Johnston Jazz Bass. We had a nice chat and he went on his way. Lovely guy and great comms throughout.

    Ok, so here is a weird one, Silicone strings, fretless, 18" scale length, dogbone body. Designed to be a convenient alternative to the upright bass that apparently some session players used in the 80's? This is one of the later 'Fender' licensed versions that I bought from the forum several years ago. Haven't used it much so off it goes. Overall in very good shape although I have unfortunately added a chip in the front edge - See pics.
