    Just resurrecting this thread - a year later how do the SY-200 users still feel about it? Are you’d still using it live? Did you end up selling it for something else? It seems like the device I need at the moment for copping a few 80’s synth lines on covers gigs, I want to see if I can be talked out of it.

    Hi Richard R, I'm a longtime user of various GK stuff with bass and as BigRedX has said it has its limitations. Hardware like the VB-99/SY1K and GR-55 (and probably the original VBass - although I've never tried it!) have staggering potential though.     I’ve just finished doing this mod and can tell you the three positions are: 1/ LED clipping - this is the stock clipping in the ODB-3. (Two red LED’s) 2/ middle position - lifts the LED and the standard diode. Leaving the single red LED doing the job of clipping. 3/ standard diode - less volume but richer sound.(red LED plus diode) Hope that helps

    Mine arrived today, only had a chance to play with it briefly. I’m really liking the EQ section, adds a wonderful sheen. Need to experiment more with the drive - updates to follow.

    I was 11 when I did my first gig. I was in a band with some much older lads and they played at the local community centre. I definitely looked pretty cool getting my Mum to pick me, my Aria Pro 2 and my Carlsbro amp up at the end - Rock and Roll!

    Lloyd bought a pair of Barefaced ONE10’s from me. Top man, paid in full two weeks before collecting them. Had a nice chat whist he demoed them and he was on his way. Perfect Basschat sale.

    Ok, so here is a weird one, Silicone strings, fretless, 18" scale length, dogbone body. Designed to be a convenient alternative to the upright bass that apparently some session players used in the 80's? This is one of the later 'Fender' licensed versions that I bought from the forum several years ago. Haven't used it much so off it goes. Overall in very good shape although I have unfortunately added a chip in the front edge - See pics.     SOLD The clear out continues! I listed these a couple of years ago and got cold feet, but having had them sit there since unused they need to go! Here are a matched pair of the remarkable Barefaced ONE10 speakers bought from this forum a few years ago. These were a special order from Barefaced using a *edit for clarity* - special hard wearing paint designed for high end PA cabs instead of the usual tolex. This was to avoid the tolex peeling off which the standard version of these cabs are so susceptible to. - I've tried to capture it in the pics. These also have the funky retro silver grill cloth. These are virtually mint as they have seen about 5 gigs in the few years I've owned them. They come supplied with the Barefaced soft covers too also in as new condition. Not looking to split at this stage - Priced to sell at £650 a huge saving on the current price - £549 each w/ covers.
