1. Now sold! Has served my band well for the last few years. We've just upgraded so this is up for grabs. Really handy for setting up IEM's as it has four seperate aux mixes, and it's always fun to watch the flying faders wizz about. Good used condition. Fully working. Missing 'G' knob, but pot works fine. Comes with fully fitted flight case. Collection welcome from Enfield, although happy to post if the buyer covers the cost. More pics available, just PM me.
2. Those Skreddy Supertones are awesome! GLWTS
3. Got any pics? *EDIT - I'll pm you!*
4. The one Delberthot had is mine now. I have used it for every gig I've had since. Wonderful basses. I really want to try a 2025 now to see what the difference is.
5. Just had a quick go, great fun. Its been a while since I dug my VB-99 out and played with it - I'd forgotten how cool it is! I've made a save file of your patch (although I've left all the String levels at 100%) for anyone who fancies a bash (change file extension to .zip): Turns out they are .b9e files? must be a weird Roland format. Oh, and please do share patches
6.
Yeah, but I much prefer using the unit. I think the interface is so nice to use with all the knobs and big screen. Any time spent away from the computer is good in my book! I have the unit on the stand just to the side of my desk, perfect height, it just works so nicely. I even use it as a sound card for music through my hifi and headphones
Fair play, you can make handy save files with the VB editor - I think they're.mid from memory. Makes for easy backup and patch sharing. Thanks again for taking the time to write the settings down for that patch, I'll give it a go when I get a minute.
7.
Sure - I'll have to simply type the settings down as I haven't got the facility to do a system dump or whatever it's called using MIDI at this point Start off with the 'Chameleon' preset (I think it's patch 120 unless you've moved it) COSM bass settings page 1 COSM Bass - on. Type - Synth Synth Type - Analog GR Master level - 100 Page 2 Mode - VCO Comp - Off Page 3 Cutoff Freq - 58 (though I adjust this with the knob on the bass to change the sound, 58 matches the video) Reso - 77 (Env Mod) - ON Sens - 35 Attack - 25 Page 4 Off Page 5 (Sweep) ON Rise - 32 Fall - 24 (Vibrato) - Off Page 6 EQ - On (but flat, just total gain +10) Page 7-15 all off/flat Page 16 String level 100 except G string which I turned down to 30 as it was louder than the others. ---- FX COMP ON - Limiter TRSH - 60 Ratio - 4:1 Attack - 0 Rel - 20 Tone - 0 Level - 62 --- That's it! Tbh it'll differ from one bass to another depending on your pickup install (distance from strings, placement etc) and your playing style (filter sensitivity etc) but this shoudl get you mostly there. Let me know if a screenshot of the editor would help, or pictures of the screen of the unit.
Thanks for that I'll give it a go. Are you not using the VB editor with your computer? If not you should be as it's actually really good, and makes editing the unit a breeze.
8. Can you share the patch you made?
9. Bought a couple of Mono Sleeve gig bags from Gareth. They arrived exactly when he said they would, and are in as new condition. Echoing the comments above it was a effortless purchase. I would not hesitate to deal with him again.
10. Great bass. Deal with Will in confidence, great guy to deal with. Wish I was as good as him after just a year playing!
11. would you sell the fs-6 separately? if so how much?
12. I was feeling fairly GAS free until I saw this. Great bass, GLWTS.
13. I think a pic would probably help as there were a few different tuner types at that time.
14. The Turbo RAT uses LED's in the clipping stage which gives a more aggressive distortion. I built one that had both standard and turbo clipping stages and I always tended to favor the turbo mode for bass. Both will cause the low end to drop a bit and are best used with a clean blend of your dry signal. Martin has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to electronics and builds exceptional pedals, so it's well worth contacting him too.
15. Hmmm, I've just been contacted by him too with regards to him selling me an amp. How do I let the mods know? Edit - now reported.
16. I've used the 500x a lot in the last few weeks and have got everything tweaked how I like on my main patches. I'm using the SVT, B-15 and GK amps sims and I have to say I'm mightily impressed. This is now my goto rig either with or without back line. I'm not going to bother with the helix for now as the 500x is doing all I need. Still haven't tried the 4 cable method yet, soon maybe.
17. That is a very good price.
18. Re. 4 cable method - I hadn't planned to, but now you've mentioned it maybe I will. I haven't tried the Hiwatt and Bassman amp models yet, I'm off to try them now.😀
19. With my regular band I'm using an IEM system and the XLR outs of the POD go straight to the PA, no amp. I have some gigs coming up with another band where I'll be using backline instead. I'm hoping for good things there too. I should add for anyone reading this that the Bass expansion pack is essential. Whilst you only get a couple of amps its enough to covers all the ground I need.
20. I've recently acquired a 500x and am really pleased with it. It sounds so much better than the previous PODs I've used. I'm also very impressed with the M series effects on board, a vast improvement on earlier versions. I found it much easier to setup using the software. HD edit is so much more concise and less glitchy than earlier line 6 software. My first gig with it was last night, which it performed perfectly. I shall be taking it along for the foreseeable future. My biggest concern is that if I like this as much as I do then the Helix has to be my next move. Time to start saving.

Boss CE-2W

I've got an old BE5B that has an SD-1 circuit with a blend that sounds really good. I can only imagine the Waza will be a lot better, although I suspect it'll require blend with the clean sound for best results.

Nice, I'm liking the CE-1 modes.
