1. Stagg maybe? Thoughts please: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142273497543
2. Whilst I have the bass flyrig, GT-10b and the Zoom B3, I would say the POD 500x is by far and away the best. It excels for drives, comps and EQ's. The octave is the best modelled octave down I've tried. The modulation's are great, as are the verbs and delays. Even the synth effects are pretty usable with a bit of tweaking. It did take me a good while to dial in the filters how I liked. I would also say the Bass model pack is essential too and very good. I'm consistently surprised how quickly I can get the sound I'm after using the Edit software, and with a bit of practice how close you can get to the real thing when A/B'd The Flyrig is great for is portability. I can cover most things with this pedal alone. The GT-10b is a phenomenaly powerful effects processor. If you need to be able to control multiple effects and assign things all over the place it's the one for you. It's tweakability is unparalleled. The Zoom B3 is amazing for the money. It has top class modelling and effects. E.g. It has my 2nd favourite octave model (after the 500x) and the synths rival the classics. But I do find it a little clunky in terms of usuabillity on a gig - switching between patches and individual effects is a bit tap dancy.

4. I quite like it, I'm a sucker for a black p bass though. Plus the namesake connection.😄
5. Where are you based?
6.
It looks to me something to do with a Midi pickup. I could be wrong. Is it magnetic? Those Bassline soaps are amazing pickups.
Yeah, it's the attachment for a GK-3B Roland hex pickup. Nice bass, GLWTS
7. Cardboard shipping box from an Ibanez bass. Free to the first person who can collect it from Enfield.
8. Try these guys: http://www.guitaraid.co.uk They fixed a few Tech 21 pedals for me. Really quick turnaround and well priced. Highly recommended.
9.
Is this a standard Epiphone T-Bird ? I only ask as I think that the Pro version is active and this one is passive
The seller is quite correct. There by is an Active Pro version, but this is (as stated) a Classic IV Pro. Here it is on the Epiphone website: http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Bass/Thunderbird-Classic-IV-PRO.aspx
10. I got a 1025 in a trade about 6 months ago and haven't put it down since. Amazing basses, buy it!
11. ++1 for Ed Friedland.
12. Awesome, many thanks 👍
13. Yeah, there's no way the BFR can compete with the BBC. It's a small fraction of the potential of it.
14. I recon so, although it's a pitch shifting chorus rather than LFO based.
15. Think the hold function will do it: http://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=3867.0
16. The Roland GR-55 has the best detection of all the things I've tried. (Not had the pleasure of an IR yet!) it's also designed to add stuff to your original signal, where it works pretty well. Weirdly, the VB-99's bass to midi is much more latently - I assume it uses the same engine as the GR-55?
17. Yeah, I've been using mine a lot too. Line 6 really got it right with the 500x.
18. Hi all, About to embark on a Toto tribute band project replacing previous bassist. Before I start frantically transcribing I thought I'd see if you lot could help out. I've already written out the obvious ones: Hold the Line, Rosanna and Africa. Looking for accurate dots for the following: Girl Goodbye Home Of The Brave White Sister Afraid Of Love Falling In Between King Of The World I'll Be Over You Pamela Stop Loving You Hydra Thanks in advance.
19. This won't be here long...
20.
How does the skreddy cut through in a mix? Haven't been able to find any good demos
Really well, it's like a Big Muff you don't need a blend for to retain low end. It's voiced like a Super Tonebender which has much clearer mids. Cracking pedal, I'm surprised more bass players aren't using them. One of the best, if not the best Fuzz I've ever used.
21. I'm after a bag for this amp. I know some guys put their micro cabs in a cajon bag to transport them. Does such a thing exist? Or has anyone got an alternative?
22.
Some seasonal offerings which might save time prepping for gigs: Shakin' Stevens - Merry Christmas Everyone Slade - Merry Xmas Everybody More on the way...
Nice one, just had to do these and you've saved me a job transcribing it. Thanks.
23.
It's the floppiness though. I had a word with Andy from D'Addario, and he has recommended some short scale strings with better tension.
Ahh, nice. Please let us know how you get on.
24. Hey, how did you get on with the bass after a good setup? Have you gigged it yet? How's the string tension?
