1. oohhh ive wanted one of these for a while, very happy with my tri 110,s but ive always wanted 2x whappo jnrs, always had a thing for 4x12,s, but skint though, great cab, these dont appear often - bump!!!
2. Thats bloody lovely Andy!! ive been doing some research on the burners myself and the stuff ive seen on youtube ( playing aside) the tone is fantastic, really really good basses, i bet your dead chuffed, whats the top wood on that is it walnut? i will wager its very very close to the USA smiths, probably too close for kens liking anyway probably doesnt need it, but i wonder if those nordstrands you have would benefit it congrats on a great buy, we must meet up with matt (overwater #1) and compare smiths, he,s got a posh black tiger!!
3. ive got to have one of these, in particular the mint green with maple board- ooooohhhh!!!! just love it - bump
4.
buy a few really good condition early JV squiers.
+1 these are fantastic basses, i will keep mine forever, probably wont be worth anything though as ive messed about with it too much
5. absolutely brilliant, i watch this a lot with my 2 year old daughter, but havent seen this one, crazy!!! stuart was a big influence on my playing as a youngster, id only just started playing when i heard "to young to die" it blew my mind great line and a fantastic dirty tone, the zingzillas are great and introduce childen to a lot of diffent music/instruments, i will put my evie off panzies bass though!!
6. I love my IGIG but i WILL!!!! have a harvest cow marble one day!!!! very sexy!!
7. The ones Bernie goodfellow is selling are the harvest ones, which are very expensive (but gorgeous) but he was selling them at last years bass day for £220 which is a fantastic price i was well sick as id just bought an igig bag ( £160 from bass direct) but thay are fantastic too, so all is well, i can really recommend the igig loads of pockets and very tough and most importantly the tweed one looks very cool
8.
Doh! I have them for sale for a month then all of a sudden 3 people are interested/want them.
Ha ha i know John!! i,d only just noticed them the other day, have been weighing up the finances!! hope your well mate
9. shame i fancied these myself, ive gone back to hi beams from sunbeams, i dont like the feel of steel but i like the zippy sound, the fatbeams are great too, but i got some hi beams in a deal and they work very well with my smith!!
10. Ooooooohhhh!!! there are some seriously fantastic basses floating about for sale of late, must be xmas coming up, just gorgeous!!
11. well well!!! so not surprised, if it were a 5 id have been doing some serious reshuffling!! congrats to the new owner!!!!
12. never did hear back from you regarding my smith offer hey ho, all for the best!!! bump for a lovely looking overwater!!!!
13. Id love to try a NT smith, this could be the one to make me want a six, its even got nice knobs retrofitted, the original ones dont do justice to stupidly expensive basses,(will change mine as soon as i can ) this is the bargain of the week by a long way, just stunning!!!! oh and your right the B string is fantastic!! better than the yamaha and warwick 5,s ive owned previously!!!
14. 5th ken smith of the week, get em now folks wont be anymore for a while, this is gorgeous, if i didnt have one i,d take your arm off- bump
15. i think it looks great, i do prefer yours or VW.s old flamed maple one, i was lucky enough to have a go on a friends Monarch, lovely bass, but i doubt id fork out £7k for one , did try out a bolt on version in Mannys in new york and it was really nice!!
16. WOW three smiths in one week, just like waiting for a bus, i have been thinking of selling mine too just thinking though, lovely bass- bump!!

18.
"We don't have Burner bridges in Gold. The Smith Bridges might fit but will need a good professional to put it on and not mess up the bass. That Bridge is $160., 4-string gold. The Tuners are $64. for 4 of them. These will go up in price soon as the Dollar is weak to the Yen. The Tuners are made in Japan, not the Smith bridge though. The Burner bridge was made in Japan in black only but that was over 10 years ago when we stopped making that model. Shipping is additional. Thank you, Ken Smith President/Owner Ken Smith Basses, Ltd."
I,d stick with the black mate
19.
I've E-mailed Ken Smith about a Gold Bridge and machineheads... I bet they're ultra expensive.
I actually want a black bridge and tuners for mine, i think it looks better with a wood finish than gold!!!! shame yours isnt a 5 we could swap!!!
20.
I really want a black tiger 4...but this will stop the gap until i win the lottery. Something like this next.... http://www.thelowend.net/gallery/viewtopic...debbe571ca979ca
Yeah i agree, a black tiger elite 5 has always been top of my gas list, overwater#1 BT6 is bloody gorgeous, but im not a six kinda guy, the fusion elite has always had me foaming at the mouth but you are right def a lottery win bass, a pic of mine found on photo bucket by a previous owner And posing
21. very very nice indeed!!!!! i thought from your profile that it was black, but its a nice trans blue, i almost bought a burner 5 back in 98 which was pretty much the same as yours, i didnt as i had a yamaha nathan east at the time, so i bought a warwick with the cash, which started a ten year stint playing nothing but warwicks, i wish id bought the smith as they are quite rare as most smiths are, and probably a better bass , very lovely if i was a 5 id be talking smith trades with you!! - lee
22.
If Paypal sorts it's head out in the morning, the Burner is mine. I thought long and hard, but the decision was made for me by the lucky bugger who got this.
Cool congrats on a lovely bass!!! me, you and matt (overwater#1) will have to form the northwest Ken smith apprecialtion society he,s got a black tiger 6 and ive a BSR5 MW, should make for some interesting comparisons great bass mate-
23.
Wow - nice work, glad someone did it before i sold a kidney.
It wasnt you then andy is was hoping it was!!!
24. I must admit, these days i go for quality rather that quantity ( a year ago i had six basses i now have two) and i really love my ken smith 5 but id be perfectly happy to just use my 82 JV squire jazz, a wee bit modified though with nordstrand pickups and a badass and an EMG circuit, ive had it for 17 years and its amazing, quite heavy though, but its going nowhere
