1. I had one of these in exactly the same colour, bought it for stupid money and sold for naff all when a tax bill came up, bloody fantastic bass, but at the time was playing warwicks more, big regrets for getting rid of it (especially at the price i got) well worth the cash, if i didnt have a ken smith 5 im very happy with would be very tempted - big bump for the sale - lee

3. Ive played this particular bass, and its a beauty, very low action and slaps great, very articulate sound, has a great neck and a fantastic player all round, i woudnt mind this myself. huge bump for a great bloke and a fantastic bass - all the best - lee

6. Hi barrie Iv used a three guitar rockstand for years, but i must say the foam on the bottom splits eventually, exposing the metal, not good for your nice expensive basses, i have a double hercules one too, and ive had no bother, but the footprint is massive, have you thought about wall mounting them?
7. Hi Everbody My old bandleader from the ships has been in touch and needs a bass player for a cruise contract, its for P&O cruises on thier latest ship the Azura, should be a really nice gig, no drills or in port manning playing lots of diffrent types of stuff great friendly people to work with. contract runs 25th june till 29th oct , sight reading essential as you will be juggling a lot of pads with NO rehearsal, bits of standard notation with some chord charts and the ability to busk is always welcome. PM me your details if your interested and ill pass them on. cheers everbody, this is a good oppertunity to see the world for the right person - all the best -lee

11.
It looks like it spent a week on the wall in your shop, Uncle H.
brilliant really true!!!!
12. I played this show a couple of years ago, as a few people have pointed out queen songs held together with a weak story, hugely enjoyable to play as i adore queen an JD is one of my favourite players, it is a reading gig so dont rely on just learning the songs as the arrangements are slightly diffrent and watch the conductor fr que,s he/she will be beating time in case the drummer cant keep it when i did it i used a warwick streamer stage 1 favouring the P pickup, but a warm smooth fingerstyle tone can be had on any bass with a bit of tweaking. If you hate queen thats fine, maybe you,ll appreciate what a great player John Deacon is after doing it, enjoy - all the best - lee

15.
.............Hey Buddy- hope you're well....I'm still a bit undecided I guess - it is pretty cool.....how's the Smith?..I was hoping to find one Stateside on my last contract but no luck....Maybe I'll find one next week on the Artemis Take care ..Mike
Hi Mike Are you with Clive &Cj or the house band? i did 18 months in Artemis house band, very hard work at the time ( 16 new showsfor worldy) so didnt get off a lot, nice little ship though, im loving the smith to bits, best 5 ive ever had, TBH Mike times are a bit hard at mo and ive3 nearly put it up for sale twice, tring my best to hang on to it, got a few gigs coming up so should be ok, if i move it on ill let you know enjoy your trip - lee
16. I bought a sister sledge live CD, from a market stall, back in 96, its still on my ipod , and he,s on bass, absolutely brilliant player, very aggresive modern tone and great chops, i believe he played warwick basses (i think i read that somewhere) he was/is the band MD i particularly liked his bass solo where he played the theme to "blue peter" he did try to reinvent bernard edwards lines though. you cant reinvent the wheel as it were. Very good though - all the best - lee
17. Cant believe your selling this mate, if i had the cash i ,d have it in a minute, ive heard this in action a fantastic sounding bass, a true bargain - all the best - lee

20. Thanks for that J I hadnt seen that before very interesting and i think the way to go,as i suppose any decent bridge is going to be the same, i do like the look of the hipshot though!! im hopefully getting a new preamp fitted so ill get it done at the same time- cheers again - lee
21. From what i can gather, the WAV is made in china from beech, with rosewood board while the NXT is made in the chzech rep from maple, with ebony board ( like the more expensive CR series) the NXT will be better made and bridging the gap between the WAV and CR. I really loved my WAV and regret selling it, when i get another it,ll be an NXT ( unless a nice CR5, comes up cheap )
22. Thanks for the replies everybody, it looks like shimming the neck might be the way to go!!, i assume that means making the neck higher up in the pocket? still i am favouring the more vintage looks so ill have a think, the BA2 has been on ages and is kinda part of the bass now. It is a JV squire - lee
